Have you ever had the same flight attendance twice?

I’ve not, and don’t know any who has. Would like to hear from someone who’s experienced it. Did they recognise you too?

I used to fly from boarding school to a European country every holiday and half term, on a smallish airline, so got to know the crew pretty well - especially thanks to flying as unaccompanied minors, so we'd hang out with the crew backstage at the airport. Add a few times with long delays and only about 10 different cabin crew, we saw them a lot over 5 years.

KLM Cittyhopper flights from Newcastle to Amsterdam regularly have the same couple of crews on the route so if you're even slightly regular you get to know them quickly.
Eastern Airways on the Newcastle to London City Airport route when that existed a good few years back now was the same crew day in, day out as well. The majority of us on that plane would be regulars and both passengers and flight attendants would mostly be on first name terms with one another. It had a really nice vibe and even if you were delayed the time would just zoom by as you'd always be deep in conversation with someone. It's the only thing that made the regular commute up and down tolerable for as long as I did it.

Did Southampton to Edinburgh and Gatwick to Edinburgh for many years. Must have happened quite a few times!!

Watch out everyone the spelling police are here.
Brokella@reddit
It doesn’t make sense with the current spelling.
Proud_Durian6956@reddit
I know but it's easy to see what they are trying to say.
Only_Quote_Simpsons@reddit
Well it clearly does because you knew what they meant to correct them...

Or maybe I’m a cunning linguist.

My mum worked as cabin crew for mainly BA for over 40 years and says she rarely worked with the same crew twice.
dismaldunc@reddit
yes on a small regional airline that services the islands of scotland. (there was only 1 attendant per flight)
susolover@reddit
Don't think this really counts, I had to go on a flight to hamburg for 1 night,
The crew changed over and when I flew back the following day the same crew was there, as the previous days flight arrived too late for a return leg, they did a crew change, the purser recognised me, and slipped me a couple of extra drinks, which was nice.
asifbymagnets@reddit
Not that I've noticed, but I've had the same row-mate twice.
Cultural-Ambition211@reddit
We did last year going to and from holiday. I remembered the guy well as he’d helped us out loads with our baby.
I sent a thank you message to BA afterwards which I really hope was passed onto him.
Agreeable_Guard_7229@reddit
Yes I flew from Norwich to Aberdeen weekly at one point, got to know the attendants quite well
172116@reddit
I was going to say that based on conversations I was overhearing on the Aberdeen - Birmingham flight, it seems to be the same attendants every time and a lot of the same passengers too!
Individual-Rope-3769@reddit
In the same night!
gse2026@reddit
I flew domestic in America 18months apart and the hostess remembered me. I couldn't believe it after all that time and the amount of passengers she must see.
rachaeltvuk@reddit
Once flew LHR to Boston for a 3 hour meeting and then straight back and had the same crew who did recognise me.
yossanator@reddit
In the early '90's I would fly several times a week throughout the UK to go to customer sites (Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belfast etc). Would see the same faces over and over again. It was a nice vibe - "Hi my name how are you today" sort of thing.
Tabby_Mc@reddit
The lovely little KLM Cityhopper flight from Teesside to Amsterdam frequently had the same crew when I flew from there on a regular basis. The very lovely member of cabin crew was happy to keep me topped up with extra wine because I was well-behaved and used to chat to her
Nameisnotmine@reddit
Yes. We went to senegal for a week and the flight crew stayed on the resort with us and flew back with us (working). I asked if they have to use holiday for this and they got paid for the week layover
Chopsticks_Charlie@reddit
I have once to be fair
One_Complex6429@reddit
No idea ..I don't actually look into their faces that deeply id notice
Outrageous_Shake2926@reddit
Yes. In 2019 I had a package holiday to Malta, flying out of London Heathrow Airport with Air Malta.
Same flight crew on return journey. We recognised eachother.
ADamnGoodShot@reddit
I fly the LA to London leg fairly often, so I've gotten to know the old battleaxe ladies on the American Airlines redeye that services that route. Mostly they;re slightly nicer to me than other people on the flight (they're still pretty rough however) and give me lots of extra wine. I mean, the wine is always free for business class, but they actually refill mine and check on me from time to time. Man, those ladies are MEAN tho.
OrganicPoet1823@reddit
Yep a few times
G_UK@reddit
Yes. On Lufthansa. I came into Frankfurt on one flight, and the same crew transferred planes and crewed my connecting flight onto London.
SuperDinkle406@reddit
Regularly. I fly the same route frequently. We recognise each other and say hi, usually have a little a chat.
tetlee@reddit
Yes between London and Phoenix had the same BA attendant twice. I chatted with her both times in the galley and she said she remembered me too. She said the first time I met her was the last time she flew to Phoenix and that was like 9 months earlier so quite a coincidence.
Dull_Banana5349@reddit
Back in the olden days when I was a kid I had a log book that the airline sold. You could get the pilot to sign the logbook and give details of the plane you were on. I also got to go to the cockpit a lot to meet the pilot. We only went abroad once a year, but I had the same pilot and plane on one of those trips.
Tonythepillow@reddit
Do you think you’d be more likely to notice if you flew more often, or less often?
Do you think you’d notice if you flew more often given that the chances of repeat crew is higher?
Do you think you’d notice less if you flew more often as it just becomes part of the journey.
How does it compare to bus drivers?
Do we need a graph?
Educational-Net-8286@reddit
I don’t remember my flight attendances at all. I’m honestly confused how people do if you don’t fly regularly for work
Hame_Impala@reddit
I'm usually so checked out on a flight I don't think I'd notice if I did.
jesuisnick@reddit
Yes, I regularly do a fairly short cityhopper route and it's very often the same crew.
AcademyBorg@reddit
Yes, one flight had 538 people on, then a few years later the same again. Was mind boggling.
Slackdarren@reddit
Yes On the outward and return
