Is this a 250w or 750w bafang mid-drive?

The large markings on the bottom side of the case indicate it's a 250 watt, but the smaller markings at the top of the case indicate it's 750 watt?!

Does bafang just use the same outer shell which has already been factory stamped with the 250w model numbers and then just put in a 48 volt controller and the guts for the 750w (or are the mechanical internals the same for the 250w and 750w, and it's just the controller upgrade)??

Has anyone come across this before?

Both are legit model numbers. Sometimes a person or seller will stick a 250w sticker on a 750w motor to fool the cops.

But they're not stickers. They're literally etched into the metal from factory from both?

I was planning to put a sticker on it but reallly don't if I bring off the 750 model number on top?

Motor ratings in general are just a (very) loose estimate what the manufacturer says the motor can safely handle. They aren't concrete values the way volts on a battery are.
