Never ever ever put silica gel beads in a gas tank. Ever. Those do not eat packets that absorb water? Yea those. The ones that amazon sells huge quantities of? Yeah never put that in your tank with a long thin funnel. It will clog the pickup/intake of your fuel pump which normally has a filter or type of "sock" to keep out grit and sand. The silica will gel up and glob all up that filter.

Depending on the concentration of the mixture, diesel in gas won’t really do too much other than make it smoke and foul some plugs. Gasoline in diesel though can thoroughly brick an engine, again depending on the amount added to the mixture.

If there is absolutely no way you’ll get the money back you can file a 1099-C. You won’t get the $ back but he will har to pay taxes on that debt which will get him in trouble with the IRS and that’s pretty good revenge. Assuming there’s no way you’ll get any $ back.

It is. You're telling the irs that you have forgiven the debt. The irs considers forgiven debt to be taxable income though.

I think it has to be a verifiable debt though. So, they'd probably have to take it to small claims and get a judgment first, then forgive it if he wasn't making payments.

You’ll need to first do more research as you need to know his home address (should be easy as it’s in public records given identity info). If you still have his SSN, etc pull a credit report to understand what he has and where. You’ll want his email address and cell phone number. Then there are a lot of opportunities to degrade his quality of life and happiness, even if you can’t get the $10K back. Use the email to sign him up for Ashley Madison and other dating or cheater websites to throw a wrench into current/future relationships. Use the home address to build a quickcrete/cinder block wall across the end of his driveway at night. Or do deeper research to find out information on his coworkers that can be used to stir up drama and turn the construction site toxic. Once you’ve decided the $10K is gone for good, the options for life degradation are endless.

It’s way easier than you think to find where someone lives. Google his first + last name, age, and any address he’s lived at before. You can also use a phone number or previous phone number to find your ex and his associated addresses. You’ll find him. I know because it took me ten years to find my long lost best friend after he changed his number and moved to a few different states. Finally figured out how to find him for free.

It is an expected/ standard response in this sub.

You apparently piss on a plate / flat surface/ frisbee then freeze it on the flat surface. Some people suggest animal piss like a cat or a fox.

Nah. It got repo'd four months after I left him. He was always terrible with money. I didn't learn about it until I applied for a new credit card, since I only pull my report once a year. Since his Mom blocked me, I had no idea how to find him.

I started getting letters from the people who bought his debt. We talked them down to $10k (from a LOT more) and paid that. Needles to say, here we are ten years later and I'm still angry.
