I want to buy a new handgun to carry, and I have found these two and want to see what y’all think.

These are both kind of big/heavy…are you sure you want a G19 size gun as your everyday carry? In an era where things like the Sig P365, Springfield Hellcat and about ten other options exist that are smaller and lighter with similar/same capacity I can’t imagine why you wouldn’t get one of them

I agree with the recommendations for a RXM. I have close to 2000 rounds though mine with zero issues.
A LEO trade in is also a great option. With a little looking you could get a trade in Gen 4 Glock 19 for less than $400.
I'm not familiar enough with the Rost Martin to have an opinion.
Ridge_Hunter@reddit
Rost Martin is partnered with Arex and has ties to Springfield Armory (the co-owner of Rost Martin, her dad is Springfield’s CEO)…the RM1C is essentially an Arex Delta with some modifications, but it’s made domestically instead of internationally. I had one and they’re good to go…grip texture is a little lacking but they do have custom grip stickers on their site too

Gross. Neither

Aren’t the firing pins kinda bad on the daggers? If you do go that route (which is the way I’d go of your two options) consider getting a Glock OEM firing pin.

I vote the rebranded arex delta over generic gen 3 Glock number 68314

Be aware that PSA might make you use a shit-ass new "AI" verification system that makes you scan your government ID and your face, and of course processes it through some AI algorithm before they ship out your order.
They claim to only do this for "high risk" shipments, but the fact you aren't informed of this until it happens, and at that point your only option is do it or wait for a refund to process (up to a week), I'm avoiding buying from them.
arethius@reddit
You might also like a CZ P10, Canik Mete, or the OG Glock

I wouldn’t trust my life to the PSA. There are lots of other guns out there that have a better track record.
arethius@reddit
Ok but I've never heard of Rost Martin firearms and I doubt they're making that whole thing in texas for that price so it's likely some Turkish gun labeled and assembled in tx.
I'd take the PSA and holosun over the other "trust me I'm the CEO" gun brand.

Glock 19, don’t pinch pennies with carry guns
Flashy-Brain@reddit
Well, to a point. Don’t cheap out, but also probably don’t carry a 1500 dollar gun. That’s going to suck to have in an evidence locker for possibly years on end
Familiar-Relation122@reddit
Preach. My former carry gun has been in evidence for 7 years now.

Honestly, if your budget is around 4-500 and you’re looking for a full size 9mm carry gun, you can definitely find a used Glock 17/19/43/45/48 gen 5 (depending what carry option you prefer)
A Glock is just going to stand up to more, hold more resale value, and you know for a fact it will go bang when you need it to. You can find spare mags for cheap and plentiful, used or new accessories/ holsters for cheap. If that’s your budget, you really should go for something just a little higher end.
Another great option would be a CZ P-10. They retail about 450, theres a full, compact, and subcompact size, optic ready, decent trigger out of the box. The Walter PDP can also be found used around that price, with probably the best trigger available in its price point. It’s better than some notoriously nice Canik triggers I’ve shot.
For another budget options you could find high capacity mags for, the Tisas Px-9 line is great, I had my eye on the PX-9 Duty gen 3 for a while before I bought my Glock 45. Retails new for around 325. Check out the Sarsilmaz SAR-9 too.

Don’t buy that optic from PSA. Find the 407c on Red Team Armory and do the email for price. It’ll be between $159-169, they don’t charge tax outside of NC, and they ship Holosun orders for free 🤙 I got my 407c for $161 out the door from them recently

Go with that psa package man, thats alot of money in mags youd save
