I have 2 boxer dogs and a turtle.
The dogs are called Blaze and Sunny and my turtle is Leonardo.
I do think pets are great with helping me relax.
What pets do you own?.
Lurcher_Owner@reddit
I have a dog, he is called Finch 😁
Ambitious_Stress8050@reddit
2 spaniels. The most definitely do not help me relax 😂
Various_Extreme_8773@reddit (OP)
Great dogs though springers
Ambitious_Stress8050@reddit
Yeah, they are lovely dogs. They both have lovely temprements, great with our kids and other dogs ect. We've got a cocker and a sprocker. They're just mental and full of energy where they're young. they're settle down when walked for 2-3 hours though 😂.
__trashyy@reddit
4 frogs and 3 tarntulars. They're not hard to keep, and pretty cheap to feed and keep homes in order.
The frogs' names are Bubbles, jelly, pasta and blueprints
The tarantulars don't have names apart from 1, its name is Cunt because it keeps escaping (i hate them, partner loves them)
Bazzlekry@reddit
eTwo dogs - a Golden Retriever called Barney, and a Cocker Spaniel named Roscoe. Barney is the best dog ever, and Roscoe also answers to “dickhead” because Cocker Spaniel. I wouldn’t be without either of them

had hamsters in my first house. Can be such lovely pets. One of them use to sit on my wife’s lap and watch Strictly
Interesting_Annual81@reddit
Hamsters eat shrimp? Today I learned!
PsychologicalEbb3891@reddit
My hamster, would occasionally eat my cat's dry food. His nickname was Houdini, because he would escape from his Habitrail home during the night. I would spend the next few minutes searching for him, often found walking by the cat dishes, with at least one cat present, filling his pouches with said stolen bounty. Oddly he lived for 5 and half years and survived two operations for the removal of a tumour. He also liked to sleep in a shirt pocket.
Loud-Welder1947@reddit
They’re omnivores! They also like chicken
pompompurindog@reddit
Some of Tofu's favourite snacks are: shrimp, chicken, turkey, white rice, spaghetti, apple, soy milk, sweet potato, blueberry, watermelon, egg whites... Honestly, he says better than I do 😆
Loud-Welder1947@reddit
Aw he’s adorable. I love Syrian Hamsters they’re so sweet. When they get to know you they’re quite affectionate too
Uhura-hoop@reddit
Oh what a little sweetie. Syrian hamsters are really really lovely when you get past the stage of them wanting to bite your hands to ribbons.
MrsPickles90@reddit
Tofu is cute!!
Wiltix@reddit
Had a dog, sometimes he helps me relax sat on the sofa giving him some fuss. It’s a happy place
But then someone 2 streets over will sneeze and he will alert me to that. Dogs a bloody idiot, unless he wants something or there is a ball then he is rainman.

I have two cats cslled Eric and Ernie.
Despite those names they are actually not purposely named after Morecambe and Wise. It does kind of fit them though.

A guinea pig named Geralt (he's massive, grey and partial to a bit of violence)
A cornsnake named Hilda (old girl, very elegant, very graceful)
A fishtank which my partner maintains - contains some black ones, some white & orange ones, and some that snuffle about the bottom.

I have two cats, called Archie and Toby.
Though they are brothers, actual littermates, they have completely different personalities and look so different. 💛
(Archie is the grey tabby and Toby is the tuxedo.)
deadeyes1990@reddit
I’ve got a black Sproodle called Merlin, who moves through the house like a small enchanted storm cloud with opinions, and a tabby-ish cat called Tiggy, who looks at me like she knew me in a past life and was disappointed then as well.
Do they help me relax? Absolutely. In the way a tiny domestic monarchy relaxes you: by demanding tribute, judging your soul, then falling asleep beside you like forgiveness has finally been granted.
DuResQ@reddit
My wife, she’s a keeper 😝
raynaputi@reddit
Two guinea pigs, Carson (on the left) and Bodie. We also have 2 fishes left, a pleco and a loach.
MittensTheBear@reddit
I have a 10yr old black cat, who got a German shepherd for his 8th birthday. Both boys. Cat refuses to get a job to care for his dog so I have to look after both of them. They have about one braincell between them on a good day. Love them both to bits and they're the bestest boys, even when they're driving me insane.
megan99katie@reddit

One cat named Mouse. He can be very affectionate and cuddly, but he is the definition of mischievous and can be a right little bastard (he bites). I love him so much.
loranlily@reddit
Two dogs, both cross breeds with lots of different things, but predominantly cattle dog and chihuahua. One is small, one is bigger but still a small dog. Smallest dog rules the roost, he’s an ornery prick but we love him. He’s got huge ears that apparently don’t work 90% of the time.
Bigger small dog is my soul dog. He’s quite nervous, and is often a Velcro dog. He’s very clever, and very loving.

I've got a big old lump of a dog, Remus. Mastiff x Lurcher, 11 years old this year. He's gotten me through some of the hardest times of my life, so now I work to give him the best of his.
iDidNotStepOnTheFrog@reddit
Dying to see the bone structure of a mastiff lurcher cross!
Pengetalia@reddit
Think mastiff up front, but Lurcher in the back. So he's big and chunky around the shoulders, but then has that signature Lurcher stomach and lean hind legs.
iDidNotStepOnTheFrog@reddit
In my head he’s very front heavy and tips over like a little plastic toy dog… but giant

Nope, we have a large tub with gravel that I added and about two inches of water . I made steps out of some small paving stones. They climb up , drink some of it, climb in , do God knows what in it, drink more then fall over the sides and repeat. They are odd.

Used to own 2 Cavachon dogs, now we're down to 1. Never again with this cross, we had to put one down yesterday with congestive heart failure, it's a common condition. He was 13.5 so not bad for the type, but still. It's the first dog we've had to do this with, and it brings so much guilt with it. I'm not sure I enjoy the responsibility now.

roxieh@reddit
One cat.
He's about 7 and an affection sweet void. He is startled by EVERYTHING. He once jumped at the sound of his own fart. He's adorable and is quite spoiled. He was a runt of a litter of strays found by the RSPCA at 4 weeks old with no mother, and he nearly died (they saved his life).
Wouldn't know it now. He's big and strong and living his best life. He dribbles and plays and naps, he loves food, he's like a quiet little sentinel.
I also adopted his sister, a tuxie, who was very different in temperament. Big bold eyes that met the world head on. Found mischief and joy in literally everything she did. Brave, adventurous, fearless. She always wanted to know what was happening and why. Her favourite activity was bringing in leaves from the garden and shredding them with delight all over the house. I was her rock, her soul person. Wherever I was was where she wanted to be. She'd often nudge into bed with me under the covers and fall asleep in my arms like a teddy.
They've both brought me so much joy 🥰
Sad-Grade6972@reddit
I'd love a pet, but being in a flat, no garden and working long hours would make it unfair and impractical. However, I have a regular pub where lots of the other regs bring their dogs, so it's great to spend time with my friend's dogs when I go out for a beer!
