Me and an ex fell pregnant even though we used condoms and she had an implant.
Given that we were kids and don't talk to our respective sperm/egg donors, going through with it would have negatively impacted at least 3 lives.

Abortion was an option, literally nothing would have changed for either of you. If you would have kept it, you would have found a way, like people always do and would now have a child and education. Saying it would have negatively affected you is just a cope.
That's exactly how an abortion works. The fetus is sucked out alive, naturally by ripping it apart, depending on its size and fitting the tube.

You are right that it is used to treat many other conditions (and beyond what you listed), where your disconnect is it is allowed in ALL states but in some states it is allowed for all of those conditions and is NOT allowed for abortion. You have to get it locally, prescribed by a local doctor. …. No one is being denied the medicine except in some states and ONLY for abortion. If you do not like that work on repealing the 10th amendment OR get congress to codify what you like into law. We have a changeable gov’t - work to get it changed.

So someone can correct me if I’m incorrect but google says this would impact telemedicine and mail in pharmacies. I imagine if someone’s endometriosis was severe and they were bed bound it would be difficult for them to get their medication if they can’t have it shipped. Likewise if you’ve had an incomplete miscarriage, which sucks and what is what I had to use this medication for, you definitely don’t want to leave the house then. Luckily I had someone who could go to the pharmacy for me.

Misoprostol is what you're thinking of for ulcers but also used for abortion care (and incomplete miscarriages, blighted ovulation, etc.). Misoprostol often used after mifepristone but can also be used alone.

I'd encourage everyone on this thread who wants to help people seeking abortions to join r/auntienetwork and become an Auntie or Uncle.
The auntie network offers support to those who have to travel in order to access an abortion. It can look like whatever you're able to offer. My husband and I have a spare bedroom and both work from home, so we're able to pick people up, offer them a place to stay, take them to and from their appointment, escort them into the building, and help them get home. Others can offer some combination of those things.

It's not my group! I'd say to reach out to the mods there and ask. When I joined, it seemed very quick to be approved but I also had to message the mods with my real name and location. I don't know what checking they did, or what they might be doing now. I also haven't seen any discouragement from joining that group, but there are other groups (see links above) if you'd prefer to go another route!

Let me try to help. I never said I wasn't connected to an actual organization (minus your implied air quotes). I've also never said that there is no danger in people who need abortions having to rely on strangers.
I'm connected to three organizations in my community and regularly work with them as an in-person volunteer. I also joined the Auntie Network here on Reddit as another outlet to help people who need abortions. Helping people access abortions in any capacity is not without its risks, whether for the volunteer or the person seeking those services. If someone is so desperate that the only way they can access the healthcare they need is to rely on a stranger, I want to be there to help them in whatever way I can.
Maybe you could do some research and find some avenues for your own activism that would be more comfortable for you. Good luck!

Most drugs last much longer than the printed best by date. How much more depends on a lot of factors. Some like Epipen shortened those dates to increase profits, but some drugs will not last more than six months no matter what we do.
Mifepristone will apparently last five years at a relatively cool temperature.

There were all kinds of studies done on those children in orphanages. There were too many and not enough caregivers, so no one played with the kids or spoke to them. They had all kinds of language and developmental delays. The studies didn’t cause this, they just looked at the data from an already bad situation, and did various assessments on the kids that were already delayed.
This lead to really understanding the extreme importance of providing young children with regular, enriching experiences, stimulating their senses through play, reading to them, and so on.

I just had an abortion nightmare—about someone else being in that situation—which is why I’m on Reddit in the middle of the night trying to forget about it. Weird to see this post now when I rarely think or hear about abortion.

While this sucks for women's rights if this holds will affect everyone in terms of crime. One reason it is believed that crime decreased in the 90s is because of the Roe v. Wade decision. Fewer unwanted children who suffer poverty and abuse. This will have a cascading effect for society as a whole. Now factor in reduced SNAP benefits and Medicaid. This could be very bumpy.
