Anyone else's list of pet peeves is getting longer all the time?

So Ive grown quite tired of people already in the turn lane turn their blinker on 5ft before they turn like oh good thing you turned it on now while you are in the process of making the turn of the great thanks

The grocery store is the worst. People meet up and start conversations while complete blocking the aisle. There were 4 people gathered one day. I said,” is it really necessary for you to gather here and block the aisle?” They looked at me like i was the rude one.
More_Pineapple3585@reddit
Delivery.
zoestar198728@reddit
I do grocery delivery now. I do not shop in stores.
I was speaking on my past experiences.
HammerMeUp@reddit
Costco is the worst place for that. The ones who leave their cart in the middle of the main aisles then go look for stuff are the worst.
EnjoyingTheRide-0606@reddit
No, I learned to let shit go, have patience, QTIP, and smile even if I don’t feel like it. I practice gratitude daily. A positive attitude does wonders. Life is too damned short for pet peeves. Yes, things bother me and I have been known to rage at my windshield. I don’t care anymore. My feelings pass. My blood pressure returns to normal. I count the years til retirement, and look forward to when I can count DAYS til I leave work for good! Meantime, never had a tee time I’d turn down.
My boyfriend never met a stranger. Often he starts talking to people then finds out they’re related distantly. (Small town his whole life; mom had 10 siblings, dad had 7! He has over 40 cousins!)
jk_pens@reddit
Nah, I care less about stupid shit as time goes on by. Except people on speakerphone or watching videos without headphones in public places. Fuck them.

If anything, my list is getting shorter.
Life_of1103@reddit
My list is ever growing, but so has my ability to not give a fuck.

You just made the list, bucko!

My biggest driving pet peeve is people who get butt hurt when you pass them and they speed up. It seems more people do this these days. Like how the fuck were you okay with your speed then all of a sudden you have to do that? I don't get it.
w3woody@reddit
Years ago I was driving down a four lane freeway (two in each direction) and it was just me and another guy for like half an hour. I had my cruise control set to 5 over. And for half an hour I’d pass this knucklehead, and he’d literally glare at me, speed up and fly by me, and eventually slow down and I’d pass him and we’d repeat the whole damned cycle. I must have passed him four or five times, and even a couple of tjmes he’d change lanes as if he were trying to block me. But of course two lanes each direction, so i would signal, change lanes and pass him, all the while my cruise control is holding steady at 5 over.
It was the dumbest fucking thing I ever experienced, and it really lowered my opinion on humanity in general.
NPC261939@reddit
Yes. It was already quite long to begin with.
tvieno@reddit
It depends on my mood and the phase of the Moon.
ExGomiGirl@reddit
Honestly, depends.
I live in a small town split by train tracks. We cross them all the time and the intersections are short, i.e., there is room for one car on side of the track and maybe four on the other. So sometimes it gets backed up.
Lately, I see people stopping on the tracks while waiting. Not on either side. Their car ON the tracks. Note that trains come through all the time - these are not abandoned tracks by any means. And I get enraged at that stupidity. Heart races, blood pressure rises.
Other times, I figure, “whatever, thin the herd”.
4158264146@reddit
If anything my list has shortened. I can't think of anything to be honest, I live by the whole whatever mentality, I mean, honestly, who gives a shit when they use their blinker as long as it doesn't affect me.
dewihafta@reddit
My tolerance for bullshit has decreased.
I am way more chill with little stuff now, though.
Specialist_Stop8572@reddit
Nah I'm pretty chill

Slow drivers in the left lane. No turn signal in a turn Red light runners Green light hesitators People coming to a full stop at a 4 way intersection and waiting 10 secs before going again (Tesla FSD)
chipinserted@reddit (OP)
Green light hesitation bothers me so much I know their on the phone but I grew up in Detroit where taking off when the light turned green was just how it was done my kids still don't understand why I drive with rage habits but I can say I did learn the rules of the road from learning there
jaxbravesfan@reddit
I’ve actually chilled out quite a bit and don’t let near as many things bother me as used to. I don’t know what’s caused it, it wasn’t a conscious effort on my part, but it’s made me much happier.
chipinserted@reddit (OP)
Damn I hope that happens to me I mean I don't get as angry but I hate stupidity
PahzTakesPhotos@reddit
My major pet peeve is when people don't clear all the snow off their vehicles before driving. I'm fat, I'm gimpy, I have pain issues, there's a bunch of arthritis, tendinitis, my knees are robots, I'm short- and somehow, I can manage to clear the snow off my mid-size pickup truck. My husband only has the use of one hand/arm from his stroke and HE can clear the snow off his full-size pickup truck. Unless you're wheelchair-bound or some sort of gaseous entity that floats around independent of a human body- clear the snow off your vehicle!
Sorry. It really bugs me.
chipinserted@reddit (OP)
I no longer have to deal with it but I did for a few long winters
Ledophile@reddit
Pffft!!! Most people don’t even bother with turn signals!! What REALLY chaps my ass is people using 2 lanes to turn a corner!!………..
chipinserted@reddit (OP)
I have yet to see two lanes to take a corner with the exception of people turning from the middle lane

If in re reduce my list of peeves to one, is that a peef?

I been studying the ancient art of No Foo! for decades. I can now go out into public and deftly avoid everyone. Social distancing made it perfectly acceptable to hover just over 6 feet away from someone at the shelf location you want and patiently wait until they leave.
If anyone does approach me and begins "Excuse me? Do you...." I wide eyed interrupt "No Foo!" and quickly make my exit.
Phone number? What about it? May I have it? No Foo! It's mine. I'm using it. Sir? Do you want to make the sale or shall I just leave this all here for you to put back yourself? Fine.
Sir, do you know about our app? If I lie and say yes will you promise to not tell me about it? Sir, it's really easy to use. No Foo!
Ianthin1@reddit
I’ve gone the opposite way. I let way more stuff go than I did 20 years ago.
When you finally embrace the “whatever” vibe so many of us claim to live by, your life becomes a lot less stressful and a lot more pleasant.
tranquilrage73@reddit
Yes. Noise, squealing kids, squealing kids on my lawn, loud abrupt noises, leaf blowers, etc.
Heavymetal73@reddit
You’re going to be a total menace to the hood rats in another 10 to 15. lol
tranquilrage73@reddit
LOL. So far, I just grumble to myself inside the house.
Wacko_Banana_Pants@reddit
I've switched to keeping a list of things I like. It's much shorter and easier to manage
Bob_12_Pack@reddit
I've always been kinda laid-back and don't let things bother me too much, but if I were to make a list, it would start with these:
Standing in line behind people buying lottery tickets/scratch-offs.
People blocking the aisles at the grocery store being totally unaware of their surroundings, I'm just trying to get my stuff and get out.
People standing up as soon as the plane arrives at the gate. We're not going anywhere for awhile, just relax.
Elegant-Error-8010@reddit
I'm with you, most things might irritate me for a minute or so, but then im over it. However, your first 2 would be near the top of my list too. Don't fly so #3 doesn't apply. I'd probably add drivers not yielding the right of way to oncoming traffic when going around a parked car. If I wasnt such a defensive driver, I'd probably be involved in 3-5 wrecks a week on my commute home.

Getting texts or messages after 10pm.
My grandfather beat it in to our heads. Any calls after 10pm, you had better be in jail, dead or the hospital if you call after 10pm.
So now if I get a text or someone sends a message after 10PM it really pisses me off. No one calls after 10pm period.
I am turning into my grandfather. FUUUUUUUUDGE

Hills! Why do so many people struggle driving them. On my way to work, it’s 70 mph, but has a hilly section. I will inevitably get behind someone that doesn’t understand to use the accelerator while ascending to maintain speed and will inevitably drop to 50-55. It’s two lanes, so I have to patiently endure.

Flababulous@reddit
Shack70@reddit
Yeah that’s frustrating but honestly as I get older less and less things bother me.
KidBlastoff@reddit
Same. I have no fucks left for anything. Nothing phases me anymore.
hapster85@reddit
Same. I've learned to let things go. Not to say I don't have my moments, but most things that really used to piss me off just aren't worth my time.
PeaTearGriphon@reddit
Bad drivers used to get to me, now I ask myself if it really matters. Sometimes it seems like my brain enjoys when I get angry lol. I think my biggest pet peeve is someone running a stop sign to turn out in front of me but then drive the speed limit. That person is fine running a stop sign but they draw the line at speeding lol.
