I think the increased the price of the next batch after that 849 sold out, but there are still other places you can find 849 price, the key is the rebate

FYI... we did sell out (not surprised), but I managed to get 50 more (last 50 available)... at a slightly higher price of $887.99, but still lower than the new regular price. Unless we can negotiate a better deal, after these 50 are gone, our new cost on these is $905... crazy high. We won't buy them at that price. Even though we won't receive these until Monday, I have loaded them into our inventory. Given the current order volume, they won't ship until Monday or Tuesday.

If money is at all a concern then get this. If you know you will forever lust for the 1301 and have a little extra to spend then 1301 is sweet.

I think I want a pistol grip, not sure if I should get this and put an aftermarket Mesa tactical one on, or find a reasonable priced one that has it on already. Crazy that they are so much more for pistol grip versions

That’s what I did… the Mesa tactical is the same between a300 and 1301… they are not as solid as one would hope. They tend to twist a bit unless you crank the crap out of the nut that secures it to receiver

I ended up finding a 1301 with pistol grip for 1475 and went for it... 1275 after rebate and hopefully the stock beretta pistol grip will be better

According to my FFL the pistol grip is the exact same Mesa Tactical… even when purchased new.

If the grip twists under fire just pop the butt pad off and crank the nut down a bit more

No, I'm honestly not sure what kind of finish it has but they don't age well at all. My A300 Competition gets a finish scratch anytime it literally touches anything hard
