So… another go at the clip show?
Either way the trio are back on Orime right now with a three episode series.

Is the grand tour worth watching. I watched the first series when it came out, and it was pretty bad. What series does it start getting good
Philhughes_85@reddit
Yes watch it, skip the celeb bits and just enjoy the videos/challenges and especially the specials. It’s some of the best work they did.
Jai2019@reddit (OP)
It improves with the next series. Though the celeb bits as with TG are mostly skippable. Almost all the specials are good to pretty good IMO. On first viewing at least. Some are more rewatch able than others.

Should just be them doing the news, once a week.
imagnxxx@reddit
I’d totally be okay with a 20-30 minute weekly show that’s just “conversation street”
Rogthgar@reddit
Unfortunately it is just clips and the trio going: 'but do you remember?'... there are supposed to be three of these coming out, and I would hope the other two are more than that. Otherwise, its on Prime and you can watch all of it in its full glory... until they ruin it with the plans for ads in the middle of it.
craigerstar@reddit
It would be so much better if it was a "commentary" show with back stories to how they came up with the ideas for stunts or whatever, and deleted scenes and out-takes.
Coop2112@reddit
It's a disappointing how little they talk in this. Would have loved to hear them talk over some of the clips. Or less clips and more conversation in between.
TheGreenDango94@reddit
equal parts soulless cash in as it's a genuinely sweet surprise to see the trio together again. I just skipped through the clips to watch the new sequences and whilst I'd have loved a more indepth chat about some behind the scenes banter or the creative ideas behind those scenes, i enjoyed it. Extra points for the tiff cameo too.
As for references, I spotted the colours from James mays infamous striped jumper on his knitted blanket xD

At first I thought it was Wilman to cancel out the bench gag, sat behind Hammond, but yeah it’s Tiff isnt it?
TheGreenDango94@reddit
It definitely was! I believe he was reading his own autobiography too which feeds into the Alzheimer's gags lol
I got into top gear in the late 90s clarkson, tiff, Quentin and vbh days so it kinda hit me how it's come full circle. It really is a big part of my life that's coming to an end...
ExcellentMail3637@reddit
Omg stumbled across this I’m so happy to see the trio together again lol I’d watch THEM in anything!!!! I’m just so happy 😀
ConstantPurpose2419@reddit
Sorry is Hammond’s memory really that bad or are they playing it up? Because if it is then medically it sounds quite worrying.
SuchProcedure4547@reddit
Hammond is starting to suffer memory and other health issues because of his crashes.
They confirmed this a while ago, it's one of the reasons they started winding back the Grand Tour.
ConstantPurpose2419@reddit
Ohh really, I didn’t realise, that’s sad 😔 I know Jeremy talked about his memory issues but I didn’t know they were that bad.
Ok-Worldliness1633@reddit
i almost believed it for a second because of hammonds history of crashes. it wouldnt surprise me at all to find hammond suffered memory issues considering his history
CrispyStevenss@reddit
Theyre playing ot up.... its pretty ok as far as I know.
Lympwing2@reddit
I feel like these are some sort of contractual obligation, but also something to bring a bit of hype to the new series
Tddkuipers@reddit
I wonder why it's a new show rather than just continuing under the The Not Very Grand Tour. But it's nice that all three of them are involved this time
YousureWannaknow@reddit
It's probably causef by change of characteristics of show itself. "TNVGT" (damn, nearly like TMNT 🤣) was kid of "serious and factual", with all these history interruptions, technical comments theybmade (pub level, but still). Something it style "old sportsmen comments their mistakes from past".
New one sounds like "We made it for fun", even setting isn't serious... Real question is, if they acutally make fun of us, people whobwatch it over and over again?
Schwartzy94@reddit
?
Key-Experience-7961@reddit
They used to do clip shows with Top Gear so it's not really anything new.
They announced the four post-TGT episodes, titles, and what they were about when the first clip show came out last year or whenever
PoolRamen@reddit
I feel like it might have genuinely been the small print
I (mostly) enjoyed the eps when they firsr "aired", I'm gonna leave it there - stopped watching after the first 5 mins or so
MiBoy69@reddit
It's definately a beginning for the new trio. The constant reminders of them getting old... I can imagine them introducing the new ones, in the last episode.
ECUPirate17@reddit
Much better than the first go-round without Jeremy. Anything to have all 3 in the same room again
mistertrotsky@reddit
I'll pay money for anything that gets the three of them in the same room again
WySLatestWit@reddit
These are largely just about keeping the brand alive as advertisement for its return with the new hosts. I'm okay with the trio cashing a paycheck.
Jai2019@reddit (OP)
At first I didn’t even remember the first two clips. Was starting to wonder if they wee using deleted scenes, but no it is my memory. Ironically, considering the framing segment. I assume the Amazon Lawyers bit is also just a gag.
