I posted here a few weeks ago and got zero responses but I’ll give this another shot. I’m not very knowledgeable on computer building but narrowed my choices for a cpu between the ryzen 5 9600x and intel ultra core 5 250k plus and decided to go with the Intel from my research.

Newegg had a good combo deal with that cpu and an ASRock B860 Rock WiFi 7 motherboard for $300 and a free ASRock 750w pcu to boot (which I think was rated B+) but that deal just expired a few hours ago so I’m just about back to square one. Is there a comparable motherboard to that for less than its regular price of $160? As for the pcu I still have my old Corsair HX 650 so hopefully I can still use that.

The combo deal Newegg has now is for an ASUS Z890 for $450 total but that seems excessive for my needs and their free add on is a spring game bundle which I don’t really care about so I’m kicking myself for missing out on the other deal. I got hung up on RAM research as pcpartpicker didn’t have any of the ram sticks Newegg was showing me and the ASRock product page had close numbers but not exact matches so I was confused/worried it wouldn’t work so I was trying to sort that out. Lastly I also need to get a cpu cooler which I only briefly looked at but since I missed that last deal I panicked and wanted to post this sooner than later. My starting budget was $600-$650 so that deal would have worked perfectly…again kicking myself.

Any help would be appreciated.
