I had a 306012GB until a few months ago. It can play at 1440P, but is definitely more suited to 1080P.

Nooo. You have to buy the latest from everyyhing. No matter if u cannot afford. Most of the redditors believe that the trilpleA games run just on the latast platform. Honestly the 3060 is not a strong card and the b450 also not the strongest, otherwise is a good pc for 1080p. A better gpu like 4070-5070 or 9070-9060 could be better.

Yup, the people that think they need a 5080-5090 and have to sell their shit 2 months later because they lost the job they were working for 6 months.
QuasimodoPredicted@reddit
it's not as good as a console from 2020 and we are in 2026
Massive_Rooster295@reddit
It’s like right on par with a ps5. 😂
TrickyOil7087@reddit
This is true. Cpu is fine, gpu will cry, I would recommend 1080ti minimum, which used goes for 150ish, which is better than 3060, fairly significantly. Although, for a truly modern build a 5060 would be much preferred, 5050 even strictly for 1080p.

Up the ram to 32gb other than that your good
Sea_Conversation9595@reddit
The GPU is not to be bought on 2026 unless you are really tight on budget.
RumbleTheCassette@reddit
It's fine, but I worry 16 GB of RAM may limit you for Studio and Blender etc. Might want to consider a similar system with 32 GB RAM.
TeamScience79@reddit
Just one more comment, ignore AlphaPro1337. They don't understand that you don't need the absolute latest tech to run a modern game and their advice will only cost you thousands of dollars unnecessarily.
If you want to ensure that you can run AAA games long term then you should start saving up for an AM5 or AM6 system now but as of right now your current system is more than powerful enough to run the latest games including the 007 game that just came out.

look up youtube videos, those specs are very common,
i would not buy a new rig without a rtx 40/50 series gpu, simply because its lacking smooth motion and framegen,
but again, it all depends on your budget and whats avaliable for you
Morkinis@reddit
At 1080p this works fine atm but it's not future proof.
Ihavedonehomework@reddit
It all comes down to price. For those specs, if it is $600 or less, it’s a decent deal. It will handle games like GTA V and Roblox easily, and AAA games are playable too, but more like medium-high settings
Serious_Newspaper823@reddit
Its fine for 1080p on med/high settings. Maybe some 1440p with upscaling would be possible.
SweetBacon923@reddit
its okay if only price is low.
TeamScience79@reddit
It's fine for the immediate future.
AlfaPro1337@reddit
No, the platform is too dead, dated and unusable by AMD and PCMR standards.
