Most likely, yes. If we're actually at the beginning of an El Niño event, all you need to do is compare the current temperatures to those of 2023 (last El Niño event) to see that... we're already above that. Next year is going to get even warmer.

All of the weather pages I follow have been saying we're getting a "Super El Niño" this year. One even said a "Mega Super El Niño" after the prediction somehow got even worse. They also think the AMOC could collapse as soon as 2050 now. We're officially speed running climate change now.

We are about to head into the warmest oceans in hundreds of thousands of years. A record breaking elnino is expected and hasn’t even materialized yet. We will likely be substantially above the 2024 record for oceans. The weather will start to ramp up to insane levels continuing into late 2027. Temperatures will not drop after this as well. 2025 will be the coldest year for the rest of your lives likely
