Why is cinema etiquette going down the drain?

I have an odeon limitless membership and I refuse to watch any new movie the week it is released because it is filled with people talking loudly throughout or on their phones.
Yesterday I went to watch the Michael movie, worst cinema experience I’ve ever had. Look I’m not opposed to people singing along - let’s have fun here - but there was honestly about 5 different groups of people who were talking throughout the entire movie. One of them was taking multiple photos with his flash on. I watched the Drama last month and a guy at that showing was giving his opinion about everything very loudly.
Are people really that obnoxious that they think we care about their commentary?
I swear it never used to be like this! And odeon staff don’t seem to care either.
