For using a mid drive motor of 42T which type of mountain bike should I choose 3x or 2x and can I install it on 2x with spacers?

A Mid drive conversion completely replaces the bb and crankset so it doesn't matter what setup you had at the front before converting.
What matters is that the bb shell is within the specified width range. That the chainstays dont conflict with the motor. That the downtube doesn't conflict with the motor and that there's space inside the main triangle for the battery.

well yes my concern is about the chainstay

Many of the better kit makers give guidance about the clearance needed so you can measure up a head time.

Well, I really wish they did that, my manufacturer was like if you change anything and it breaks it we won't give Warrenty, well obviously we don't have hydraulic disc brake sensors but if you try to buy one from outside the warranty is done, btw I know they can have different interfaces and firmwares but it's been like a year till I bought the kit they still haven't made it
