2027 bmw 3 series price?

Hi everyone, I just saw this 2027 bmw 3 series and was pretty impressed with the €38,450 price in euro, which already included VAT. That would be around $45,000 USD, which I’m sure not including taxes in the US, if this is the case. I don’t understand why it’s much cheaper for a bmw 3 series in the Europe. Can anyone help me understand if this is the case in Europe. I’m searching gg and it’s telling me that bmw car price in the US tends to be cheaper than in the Europe, which really confuses me.

The US don't get the base models from many European cars. There is no 316D in the US for instance. So the same model with the same engine and equipment will usually be cheaper in the US.

The cheapest 3 series in Germany is 47k euro and has 156hp
The cheapest 3 series in USA is 48k+tax, so say on average 52k USD and has 255hp
They are cheaper in the US if you compare spec for spec. It's complicated, as in Germany most nicer cars are purchased as corporate leases which are tax incentivized so the prices aren't really what people pay

Because premium European brand. Something similar happened with Mercedes cars back in the 1970s and 1980s. People would import Mercedes from Europe into the US. Mercedes didn't like this, and this is now why the US has a 25 year import law with a couple of exceptions. One of the exceptions is because of Bill Gates.
