I saw this outside the Mack museum and found out it’s apparently a bus that was modified to look a space shuttle for teaching kids about operating in space.

I've been in that!
It was built at my elementary school in PA in the 90s. Bob Boehmer was our art teacher who led it along with a bunch of other folks. They had a flight sim in there and radios and some kids got to talk to astronauts live during one of the actual shuttle missions.
