Same! This is what separates old animation vs modern animation, Beavis and butthead had so many incredible animations back in the day(the new stuff is good too don’t get me wrong.. but nothing compared to the original stuff)

i agree - i like when the animation is a bit more rough around the edges. the 2011 and 2022 reboots are too polished for me (but i do love old man b&b tho 💗)

Agree 100% that goes for all cartoons not just Beavis and butthead the art work and time and thought put into the rougher stuff from the 90s was insane. Simpsons has a ton of hilarious visuals/animations too, and you can’t get that personality out of the polished stuff, I don’t wanna say it’s lifeless necessarily(ain’t as bad as that cocomelon type of lifeless animation).. but it definitely lacks the personality that older animation had.

Old Beavis and butthead is imo the absolute greatest part of the new series, they are the main thing that keeps me interested and separates this show from most other reboots, there is something very authentic about that part of the reboot. While a lot of the older humor became outdated and unacceptable in today’s world and they kinda deflected to more shit about nachos than getting chicks and stuff, Mike judge being the genius he is made gold out of creating old men Beavis and butthead

for some reason the 2022 animation/character movement reminds me of that PBS kids show martha speaks and i can't really unsee it 😅 there are some episodes of the reboot that really stand out for me (braces, the episode where they go to the psych ward, etc) but i'm otherwise less interested in a lot of it except for the old man eps. i also just can't get over them watching youtube videos and tiktoks, i genuinely hate it lol 💀 overall i can't really hate on the reboot too much bc it's cool that it's still going, and i look forward to see what they do with the boys next season

Dang really? I still like the video commentary, whether it’s music videos, tv shows, YouTube or tik tok clips that’s still one of my fav parts of the show.

And I’ve never seen martha speaks but all the new characters and animation since 2022 reboot reminds me of the show Archer. Oddly enough I’ve barely ever watched Archer, but the animation style is almost uncanny imo.. but it seems like the left all the old characters alone and that type of drawing is only really done with the new random characters
