For the people who said they won’t use a portable toilet in their truck..wait till this happens..you’ll really be “SOL” lol

Man my portable toilet has saved me many times. I would its essential in our line of work. Especially when you are staying the night in an area with nothing around.
Neat-Big8950@reddit
Well, I see gravel, right?
ApollyonFE@reddit
OP would fail the basic English test apperently 🤣
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)
Like I told someone else on here..there are plenty places that have no bathrooms at all and also..I’m taking a portable toilet over “the outside bathroom”
IAMATruckerAMA@reddit
Why use a pic that undermines your point if places that don't have any bathrooms are so common? Just post a pic from one of those instead
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)
Everyone gets the notion on here though..we all know there’s plenty of places that don’t have restrooms..I don’t count their absurdly gross facility outside..I want to use the public restroom inside like a human being
IAMATruckerAMA@reddit
I've never had a pickup or delivery location without any sort of bathroom
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)
Go to target in jessup, md…that’s another place that doesn’t have one..there’s several places that don’t have them
IAMATruckerAMA@reddit
I called them up and they gave me directions to the porta potties
SnakeandNape5000@reddit
The cargo terminal at O'Hare doesn't allow truckers to use their bathrooms. I was there for twelve hours waiting on my load to clear customs. Guess who found a spot between the trailers to pee?
RevBair@reddit
Have you ever had to shit in a portoshitter when it's triple digits out, or below freezing? I have, and neither are experiences I'd like to repeat
IAMATruckerAMA@reddit
Yup, but why say no bathroom when you're mad about bad bathroom
American74@reddit
You mean the plastic stand up litter box for the “animals” (truckers) huh? Like the Petro in Gary Indiana 4 toilets but 425 parking spots. Or port of Oakland, one toilet and 500-1,000 drivers a day. Should be a law on toilet to parking spot ratios amended into building codes. Especially for shippers, consigned and truck stops, even terminals.
smellyjerk@reddit
Apperently?
Not_all_cows_moo@reddit
Pee on the ground
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)
Be respectful!! lol
RevBair@reddit
Then I'll pee on my tires. Then need to cool off, anyway 😁
Not_all_cows_moo@reddit
I'm bringing them, their goods/products. They can't even respect me by allowing me to use their bathroom? Fuck them, I'm pissing where I damn well please.
goshjosh189@reddit
Definitely not going to respect someone who doesn't respect me
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)
I get it
Decorus_Somes@reddit
I don't blame em, yall are nasty.
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)
Not me
Cardinal_350@reddit
If you shit inside your truck you are in fact nasty. 25 years and 3 million miles. Never once shit inside my truck
RevBair@reddit
Then you're a lucky one. Or went outside. Just remember that when nature calls, she can be put on hold only for so long until she becomes a real mother...
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)
I also go to the bathroom 2-3 times a day regularly so it’s good to have my toilet in case the bathrooms are ultra nasty or too far away and it’s late at night
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)
I shit when I get up…….in the truck lol
Decorus_Somes@reddit
Me either, but let's not play dumb here. Truckers for the most part are very gross
Q7017@reddit
I get that. Someone made a mess in my bathroom once, so I never let any guests use any bathrooms at my house ever.
Norsedragoon@reddit
Messaged recieved, shitting in the parking lot?
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)
That’s against the rules lol
RevBair@reddit
Only if you get caught
Shinneman@reddit
If you know you’re not going back, you go out to the employees parking lot. Can you take a dump between the cars? One of their employees hopefully we’ll find it especially if they step in that policy changed shortly after that.
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)
🤣🤣🤣
MustangMark83@reddit
One place I picked up at kept me there for 24 hours. They locked the bathrooms at night when the day shift went home. Guess who went to the bathroom in the grass on their property? After that, I keep a portable toilet in my truck which is basically a bucket and a trash bag
TruckinTuba@reddit
How is that even possible? Longest I've ever stayed at a place was 8 hours, and that was the loading line
Casperuis495@reddit
Once sat at the pepsi in Jacksonville for 48 hours. And guess what? They dont pay detention.
TruckinTuba@reddit
Yeah fuck that, I'd be looking for a new job
Casperuis495@reddit
Just one drop, I didnt work for pepsi lol
TruckinTuba@reddit
Still lol
18-Spinning-Wheels@reddit
I spent 38 hours at the Hunts Point Produce Market once because the receiver refused to unload the product until it was sold. It's very possible to be detained for excessive amounts of time.
TruckinTuba@reddit
I had no idea reefer work had you sitting for so long
18-Spinning-Wheels@reddit
It doesn't always, although it can be brutal for detention.
ThePr0fessi0nal@reddit
Reefer likes to have what's called "just in time" delivery which is where you arrive, bump the dock and wait with your trailer hooked until they need what you are carrying. It might be the next load out, it might be the next day. Meat plants are also really bad about taking forever. My trainer and I were at one in Nebraska and sat long enough to get a 34 while waiting. They had a scale on site and when we scaled out they also massively overloaded us so we had to bump the same dock 4 times after getting loaded to make weight. The last thing that makes it take forever is what's called lumpers. They don't work for the warehouse. They like to take their sweet time to unload you. If the facility you are delivering to uses Capstone you are going to be waiting a good while.
Existing_Inside5200@reddit
I thought my longest of 11 hours on a dock was crazy!! Reefers suck!
TruckinTuba@reddit
I only did flatbed OTR, the only reefer work I've done I loaded my own trailer with the fork lift, it only takes maybe an hour lol. Those wait times are crazy!
Eatmymustardsauce@reddit
I upvoted this comment because your last comment was downvoted for asking a question
Kisasi_ABDL@reddit
Hi, trucker with ibs/incon issues here
Im diapered anyway so lmao doesn't effect me
AKWV80@reddit
Dump on their lot
hugothebear@reddit
I was a company driver and they didn’t grant us keycard access to use the bathrooms. Most places that were staffed would badge me in. Except for one dude in Albany. Fuck that dude.
Chaps_Jr@reddit
All my homies hate that dude in Albany
RockertheTrucker@reddit
Albany??
hugothebear@reddit
Well, technically Latham
Jacktheforkie@reddit
I worked for Evri, they wouldn’t give me access cards for the fuckin depot, so a 2 minute piss turned into half an hour because like 3 permanent staff had a card, and management wondered why there was a puddle of piss in the corner of the yard
SushiCoffeee@reddit
I second that fuck that dude POS
Fractured-Justice@reddit
You should have used a different sign because this sign says they have bathrooms. Yes, there's a lot of companies that don't have any facilities at all, but like this particular one you're trying to use as an example has bathrooms for you to use even if they are Port O John's
Pitiful-MobileGamer@reddit
This reminds me of a story from a food production plant somewhere around Allentown. The place was known for not having any bathroom facilities, but still making you wait a door for hours on end.
Anyways the driver used his portable shitter, and disposed of the bag in the nearby dumpster. I guess the odour got some attention of a worker, shit smell where there shouldn't be. Cameras are reviewed and the shitty situation is thrown out the carrier or broker of the offender.
I'm always amazed how American corporations just completely disregard even basic humanity.
Fractured-Justice@reddit
I have a similar example. I don't know who the customer was but the driver was, Eli Yoter He's mildly famous on social media as an ex Amish but he's also a truck driver and yeah during covid he what's straight up like. "Yeah They kept me waiting here too long and wouldn't let me and to use the bathroom, so I went behind the trailer skirt and took a shit on their pavement."
Kong__Dong@reddit
I think anyone who has been a driver can tell you why they are like that. Sad to say if I owned a business I wouldn’t let them use it either.
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)
Because ppl are gross I get it..and it’s a shame because you have to assume everyone is going to mess up your restroom
DonkeyOfWallStreet@reddit
Yeah civilised world ain't civilised.
It can't be that hard to design and build an easy clean toilet/shower area to the places.
Nero-Danteson@reddit
A couple of places I went to had prison style.
DreamsServedSoft@reddit
truckers need to not be dirty slobs themselves too then
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)
It’s inhumane bruh smh
Kong__Dong@reddit
The worst I ever seen was when I worked hauling wood chips and we had to unload ourselves with a lift. You drive your truck onto it and there was a little shed with the controls in it about 50 feet away. Drivers would piss and shit in there on the floor. There was mnt dew bottles with what looked like diarrhea in it.
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)
Ewww lmao
DumatRising@reddit
Remember brothers and sisters we all have our pride but sometimes it's an emergency. Be prepared. Better to have it and not use it ever than to need it and not have it. Nothing wrong with talking some precautions to avert a disaster. Just try to get rid of the shit in a responsible way.
Especially in the winter. If you get snowed in a bucket with some cat litter is gonna be your best friend until they can get you out.
Robjla@reddit
I use the trash can toilet in my truck in an emergency I changed my diet to low carb I was going more than 3 times a day 95 percent food made in truck
genocyde26008219@reddit
You guys don’t piss in the parking lots of these places out of spite? No? Just m…a guy I know?
DathBlah@reddit
Why Walmart stopped allowing overnight parking and Buc-ees has never allowed trucks. Some people are just feral animals
FloppyTacoflaps@reddit
Can you not read?
wtf_1s_happening_rn@reddit
Places without bathrooms can have a little piss jug, as a treat
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)
🤣🤣🤣🤣
King_Kuntry_1776@reddit
I've been using portable toilets for years. Bottles and trash bags brother. This new breed is soft
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)
Yes..be a man..bunch of betas
Timely_Flow_3346@reddit
Buying a portable toilet was the best thing I had ever bought for my truck saved me well over a handful of times.
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)
Ppl don’t understand..you’re not always going to be in a place that has restrooms
Timely_Flow_3346@reddit
Whats crazy is all it took was one night at farm in country side of NY shitting in a field to change that for me. LOL
Spare-Good-5372@reddit
Oh look, the whole building is a public urinal now
Ogbunabalibali@reddit
Step 1. Find the outside employee picnicking table or eating area. It usually doesn't have cameras because that's where the warehouse workers smoke weed.
Step 2. Leave a present.
Step 3. They get the message real quick.
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)
How dare you accuse them of smoking marijuana lol
Ogbunabalibali@reddit
We all know whats up lol
PlymouthSea@reddit
Are you really the public if you're there on business, though?
DefiantComposer9469@reddit
Yeah this is exactly when a portable setup suddenly makes sense, all it takes is one bad stop with no access and you’re stuck. A lot of people say they won’t need it until they actually do. Not ideal, but definitely one of those “better to have it than not” situations
TemporaryOk9310@reddit
Yeah im shitting between trailers on the dock
GuzziHero@reddit
In the UK it is illegal for any delivery or collection point to deny you bathroom facilities.
zzooooomm@reddit
In my state shippers and receivers must allow truckers to access existing customer/employee bathrooms. This bs is dehumanizing.
rig53official@reddit
Two kinds of drivers out here: the ones with a bucket, and the ones who haven't been held 11hrs at a Tyson plant yet. Second group always becomes the first group 😂😂
Dezzolve@reddit
If you read the sign, it says they have bathrooms.
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)
The point of the post is there are plenty of places that have nothing at all
Dezzolve@reddit
Ah yes, a sign detailing the specific location of restrooms is the perfect way to make a point about places not having restrooms.
Neither_Confidence31@reddit
Do Men Shit Outside?
whodat209@reddit
Does a bear shit in the woods? 😆😂
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)

I have a camper toilet in my truck just in case I have to park someone with no facilities.
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)
Nice
MainConnection6742@reddit
All I see is a couple of handles to pop a squat...
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)

homucifer666@reddit
I have a cheap waste bucket and trash bags for this eventuality. Never needed to use it though.
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)
Nice
BigDickMadera@reddit
Step 1: shit in a plastic bag Step 2: throw it at the building as hard as you can
Profit (or get banned)
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)
Nastiness lol
SouthHuckleberry2187@reddit
I’ve had a camping toilet (and necessary additives) in my truck for years. But you’d never know it unless you saw it.
Responsible-Sail-701@reddit
Same
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)
Oh really..nice
Pitiful_Yogurt_5276@reddit
I have disposable pee bags for emergencies. Doesn’t help for #2s
Imaginary-Badger-119@reddit
I would dump in a bucket with a trash bag.. and this place would be that last and only time .. and yes I understand some other truck driver ruin it.
Mirindemgainz@reddit
Nah I’d shit on their pavement
Desperate_Fee_808@reddit (OP)
lol
heavyramp@reddit
Health department phone call? No public restrooms might be a violation
Wasabi-Kungpow@reddit
Ill use the portable toilet right on their dock door
