What did/do you call an on-the-go alcoholic bev?

For example, if you were at pre-drinks and took a drink with you to have between home and the club/whenever - what was that for you?
I'm wondering if it's a regional thing like knock a door run. We called it a journey juice at uni in Scotland.

Lived/have siblings live in london and we call it a tube tinnie/train tinnie
terryjuicelawson@reddit
Technically banned on the tube now isn't it? Not sure if any action is ever taken over it though.
Rowanx3@reddit
Yeah, you aren’t supposed to drink on the tube, every time i do i feel like Diane abbot when she got snapped having a tube tinnie
floydthebarb@reddit
Road beers. Even if it's not a beer.
TurnedOutShiteAgain@reddit
If it's on public transport then it's a "train beer"; even you're not on a train.
foreverunamused@reddit
I do love a train tinny!
fortyfivepointseven@reddit
Especially if it's not a beer, or a road. "I've got a pre-mix tinny for road beers on the Tube.".
I have a friend who calls them Abbotts if it's on the Tube/Overground, after this iconic queen incident: https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/apr/20/diane-abbott-apologises-for-drinking-mojito-on-public-transport

OFTR, pronounced ’off ter’ as in ‘off ter the pub’ but standing for One For The Road.
illbepedro@reddit
Queue beers
Jimbob136925@reddit
Waiting to get into a gig or festival or something, they were Queue beers. On the way to the venue? Road beers.
illbepedro@reddit
Stems from uni where we lived so close to the nearest club that any road beer automatically became a queue beer
AdventurousTeach994@reddit
WHIT? It never had any special name/significance... you young yins hiv tae complicate everything
Current_Thing2244@reddit
I was wondering the same. And what uni they go to because I can't imagine anywhere in Scotland not mocking that silly name
scrumpyjack18@reddit (OP)
I'm sorry to hear your drinking was so devoid of whimsy
AdventurousTeach994@reddit
Whimsy? IN GLASGOW? Is this "Whimsy" a Kafflik or a Hun? or a Muslim Hun or a Muslim Tim?
Where are these Whimsies coming from? Small boats at Largs?
Current_Thing2244@reddit
"whimsy". Okay then rocket.
wardyms@reddit
Why does having a word of phrase for a particular situation complicate it? Surely the opposite is true? Makes it very clear what you’re talking about.

Train tinnies as I usually drink them on the train uo to meet friends for drinks
Imtryingforheckssake@reddit
I've never done this nor has anyone I know, so I'd probably call it an alcohol problem.

Bus treat. Though I rarely get buses.
TheWeetchBeetch@reddit
We call them “shinies” because we always get drawn to them in shops like we’re magpies. We take those pre mixed gin and tonics to the cinema and tell the other “I got us some shinies for the movie”.
TSC-99@reddit
Not allowed to do that so just down it and go.

Seconding this. You realise you only have 10 minutes to get to the union or club while it's free entry, so everyone downs what they have or tries to get someone else to for them. The leave ASAP.

Road beer or just roadie. Older starting using journey juice as heard others use it and liked it.

When I was of an age where this was a fairly regular occurrence I called it ‘one for the road’
In my older years I have acquired the term ‘traveller’ and prefer this now
