My company just got 5 brand new 2027 cascadias. Went to check them out and the only difference from my 2025 is the front end š
Exact same interior and same ride quality. Theyāre reliable great trucks tho i give them that. Just nothing exciting about it

I remember my first brand new truck! Congrats!

I managed to get my first brand new truck after only 3 weeks of driving; Iād originally been assigned a 450k clunker, but it broke down over the holidays; with management away, the onsite local dispatch told me to pick one. I ran off that yard so fast and never requested home time there again. I was afraid management might correct the error.

Theyāre nice. I just wish they were as comfortable to drive as the Volvo. A Volvo really feels like youāre floating on the road.

When I was running hard OTR I used to always wind up getting moved into whatever brand new trucks we were buying. Its always fun to peel off the plastic and check out all the bells and whistles, and see what they fucked up with the new model year.
Now I'm pushing "mid-life" for the Pete I got 4 years ago, and I swear they're gonna have to pry this truck from my cold dead hands. Everything is just how I like it, and I don't wanna change!

Peter built is the last brand Iāve somehow never drove, was thinking about leasing one out to see when itās time to get a new cab. Currently rocking a cascadia no real complaints outside climb rate and an apperent issue with coolent leaks (but prob only got unlucky with the used buy, could be way worse)

I took my road test in one. My trainer had the new Volvo and it was super awesome. What'd I get? The 2023 International LT and it's nothing but problems. I just went and asked for a new truck this week because I'm sick of constantly being in the shop. So I'm getting a 2025 Freightliner tomorrow.

Yeah international is the worse, Volvos are nice but annoying

My school had International DuraStars that had been retired from beverage companies. Not a fan.

I moved from Cascadias to Petes with this truck and it was definitely a big improvement. Its got the Cummins X15, so thats advantage number one. Jakes are better, all the creature comforts are nicer, and its spent far less time in the shop so far. It does seem to leak coolant, no matter how many times they locate and "fix" the leak. But its always a very slow leak. Never seeing pools of coolant when I park, but always thinking to myself "damn, didnt I just top up the coolant a month ago?". But I'm a company driver, so I couldn't get into the messy details on cost or anything.

Im ex mechanized infantry so it doesnt take much to keep me happy creature confort wise, though i wouldnt mind saving up a bit to get a cab worth modifying get me a xbox in here lol

You know, it doesn't really have much more than a Cascadia, I guess I just mean that everything WORKS when its supposed to. It was always "electrical fault roulette" with those things because of the poor quality control. I'd always have issues with the bunk heater in the winter where it would cut out in the night and restart and wind up blowing cold air until it woke me up and I'd have to perform various rain dances and voodoo rituals to get the thing resurrected and working again. Now I just turn it on, set the temp and it does what its meant to without any issues.

Thereās a trick to the bunk heater thermostat, if you push the little button on the bottom right youāll access diagnostic and programming mode. Cycle over to the voltage settings and drop it a couple volts and set your other settings while your at it. Out of the box those thermostats are set voltage high (I canāt remember the numbers Iām a tinkerer I know process less than data)

My company specāed them with air ride steer axles. Makes a huge difference in ride quality.

Hell to the no. I rented one for a couple weeks, no thanks.
