My father has been arrested well over 20 times and thrown in county jail. He’s been to prison twice and he’s ran from the cops almost every single time. The cops call him rabbit because he loves to flee and somehow often gets away. He’s a horrible person who has only ever been violent and harmful towards others. He will end up back in jail again but then let go soon after, it never fails. In my opinion? Throw him away for life for being a violent repeat offender. He’s over 50 now, there’s no rehabilitating him.

I’m speaking more on the incarceration-> lack of mental health services, pipeline. I can’t speak for how the UK’s prison system works, but here in the US, repeat offenders usually lack the mental health care they desperately need in order to rehabilitate and stave off re-offenses.

No one is expecting to explore everything in space. But we have the potential to get far relative to where we are now. If we become multiplanetary, it significantly increases our chance of continued survival. Going to another star is possible within a human life time. Spreading across the galaxy is possible over millions of years. That's probably as far as we could hope to go given our current understanding of physics. But that's an insane undertaking that we are only at the beginning of.

Huh. What's wrong with profit. Profit incentives creators and builders to build what people actually want. There is only profit where there is want. Remove the profit motive and you get things that no one wants. Without profit motives you get governments make huge decisions on what people want. You want supply driven by demand not outsourced to dumb departments in the government.

I can understand the frustrations with profit as left unchecked you get corruption just like any other system. That being said a profit driven corrupt society still feeds it's people and gets by. A corrupt socialist society is much more dire. And if you don't think so I'd emplore you to talk to people that have lived in both.

First, the first books burned were not ones about trans/queer people. You're specifically talking about the raid on the Institute for Sexual Sciences raid, in which 10,000-20,000 books on different topics were confiscated to later be burned. The issue is that books on trans/queer people were a minority of these books. And also that other book raids on other locations had already occured, those books having nothing to do with trans/queer. So no, the first books burned were not about trans or queer people.

And to imply that the mass killings ("cleansing") of trans/queer people PRECEDED the mass killings of Jews in Nazi Germany's "final solution" is 110% absolutely an ahistorical lie and I'd love to see your sources for this claim. Jews were overwhelmingly targeted and killed first.
