Three Honus to Honolulu

I captured all three ANA A380 Honus inbound to Honolulu last summer. This trip was the first time I had seen the orange one

I think I watched that thing land at Narita this morning. (Late afternoon for them?)

This actually makes me curious whether these liveries are one-offs or if they have a few aircraft with the same design. Any of you have any insight into this?

I know there is at least an orange version of this one.

If I remember correctly there were three of the Flying Honu. There was a blue, orange, and this turquoise one that flew the Hawai'i - Japan route for ANA.

They make daily round trips from Narita to Honolulu. As far as I know there is only one of each

I wonder if ANA found their sweet spot for using these machines profitably, given how many flights there are between Hawaï and Japan.

Sad, I would have thought it would be the perfect line type for them: loads of leisure passengers over a very crounded route.

It's more expensive to fly one A380 than two twin jets nose to tail. Neither NRT or HNL are slot constrained.
