MoltenCopperEnema@reddit
Yeah, you can't call for violence. POS.
Worldly_Anybody_9219@reddit
I mean yeah, when you're posting in an official capacity, or really any capacity, you shouldn't be reposting stuff that advocates violence or targeting certain groups. Simple rule to follow.
handlesdumplings@reddit
I'm glad we have social media to route out these morons before they have a chance to be elected
TheBoizAreBackInTown@reddit
You're joking right? Did you take a look at the current US president, the strongest party in Germany rn, Italian government, Agentinian president, etc. Why are these "morons" in such strong political positions? (And actually aided by misinformation on the social networks)
handlesdumplings@reddit
is the green party a right wing party like the ones you mentioned?
thebolts@reddit
Does it matter if we’re talking about violent messages?
handlesdumplings@reddit
It's just not really relevant is it?
thebolts@reddit
What is this based on?
Opening-Cheetah467@reddit
antizionism shouldn't be a crime
MaestroRozen@reddit
Please, do explain how a call for violence against Jews in London in revenge for actions of another country is antizionism and not antisemitism.
WestcoastAlex@reddit
there was no call for violence
AskAboutMySecret@reddit
brother they said synagogue, that's antisemitism
travistravis@reddit
Not in this case, but in some cases, things like auctioning off stolen land by Israel is done in synagogues. It shouldn't be, but it is, and although there's no proof, it seems likely that it's to conflate Judaism with Israel, since it's something we've seen Israel push repeatedly.
loggy_sci@reddit
Ramming a synagogue isn’t anti-Zionism it’s a hate crime.
Not surprised to see you here trying to justify harming Jews
TraditionalGap1@reddit
I agree. This kind of shit, however...
snowlynx133@reddit
Sure but the support of antisemitic hate crimes should be
chatte__lunatique@reddit
Killing random Jews is anti-zionism now?
Bonar_Ballsington@reddit
Not all Jews are Zionists. Just like not all Zionists are Jews. This is the UK not Israel
wytnesschancealt@reddit
"Ramming a mosque isn't a crime. It's revenge."
Fearless-Feature-830@reddit
Reposting something is calling for violence… okaaaaay lol
MoltenCopperEnema@reddit
Reposting a call for violence is a call for violence, yes.
Fearless-Feature-830@reddit
It’s not great but there’s no call for violence there. Bad taste, yes.
Chinerpeton@reddit
How is this not a call for violence?
Fearless-Feature-830@reddit
How is it? It seems to be excusing violence but not calling for it
-Hi-Reddit@reddit
Fuckin hell dude you really love crayons dont you.
People like you are why Americans have a certain reputation.
Its telling people, if they feel aggrieved, they can get their vengeance by attacking random synagogues.
souperjar@reddit
It's explaining that there is a difference between antisemitism and revenge. It does not say it is acceptable to seek violent revenge at all. That's not even implied by what was said.
-Hi-Reddit@reddit
Wow do you have to try to miss the point this badly or does it come naturally?
Attacking a local synagogue as revenge for some israeli government actions NOT legitimate revenge. Its like lynching random muslims because ISIS exists. It is that break in connection that makes it antisemetic.
Telling people that it is a legitimate way for them to seek revenge is what makes it a call to action. It gives them legitimacy and tells them how to fulfil their need for vengeance. Its implied that the legitimacy gives them a right to do it and that the need for vengeance compels them to do it.
WestcoastAlex@reddit
nothing in that statement claims it to be "legitimate"
it wasnt an antisemetic attack and there is no 'right' to exact revenge
souperjar@reddit
No, I don't think that it makes sense to take a explanation of something and claim this is a call for vengeance actually.
There's also the fact that the most prominent attack of the type mentioned was done by someone whose family was killed in Lebanon on a synagogue which hosted IDF recruiters and held prayer nights for the IDF. So this isn't abstractly discussing the general situation of attacking any synagogue, but was a specific act of revenge.
Almost certainly this was explaining the facts of specific attack and not generally advocating for violence.
-Hi-Reddit@reddit
Condemnation of the IDF is valid, but not the synagogue for hosting members of the faith, thats literally its function. It isnt a valid military target, its a place for jews to worship and socialize regardless of politics.
Starting to think youre an IDF bot stirring the pot on purpose.
souperjar@reddit
I literally said it was terrorism and not some kind of valid military engagement.
Terrorism motivated by revenge and not antisemitism.
What is the issue exactly with this description?
WestcoastAlex@reddit
correct
WestcoastAlex@reddit
no its not.
WestcoastAlex@reddit
agreed
GravitiBass@reddit
That’s an absolutely wild post to share though lol. Especially if you’re up for election. Wish we took that kinda shit as serious. Maybe not arrest them but take them out of the race or something.
Fearless-Feature-830@reddit
Yeah it’s the arrest that’s overdoing it for me
WestcoastAlex@reddit
shows who is actually in charge
souperjar@reddit
That's not a call for violence.
It's not even apologism for violence. Revenge is generally considered to be a bad thing.
If politicians aren't allowed to even talk about the causes of violence without being arrested what exactly should happen to those who have ordered or participated in actual violence? How can anyone even look in the direction of having a military if this is the standard?
WestcoastAlex@reddit
agreed.
and it wasnt an antisemetic attack
Loose_Spray1678@reddit
I just find it so hilarious that there are people who will openly support ramming synagogues but will be upset if you call them antisemitic.
thebolts@reddit
Efforts to sell ‘Anglo neighborhoods in Israel’ at LA synagogue erupt in protests
I thought people were protesting the illegal activity of selling stolen land
travistravis@reddit
It's almost like they hold these land sales in synagogues so that they can claim it's against Jews when protests break out (I don't think they've been doing those auctions in the UK, but it could just be very quietly).
thebolts@reddit
Homes in illegal Israeli settlements for sale at London expo. This is from 2007. Apparently these Israeli backed organizations hold auctions in expos, synagogues and other public venues.
travistravis@reddit
I don't think it should be happening at all since its stolen land, but it definitely shouldn't be held in places like churches, mosques, or synagogues, since it does not clearly delineate political action of a foreign state and the local adherents of that religion.
WestcoastAlex@reddit
thats right.
WestcoastAlex@reddit
correct. its exactly why they do it
WestcoastAlex@reddit
it wasnt an antisemetic attack
SongFeisty8759@reddit
I just find it weird how some on the left (not all!) have just taken to antisemitism like ducks to water.
travistravis@reddit
Because people are people, and no matter where they lie on the political spectrum, there's going to be some number of assholes. Just like theoretically there must be at least some decent people that support Reform.
AskAboutMySecret@reddit
yep, i'd be just as fucked yo if they said it about a mosque
no calls for violence should be taken lightly
WestcoastAlex@reddit
what call for violence?
WestcoastAlex@reddit
its not antisemitism. there is no call for violence in that statement
Intense_Judgement@reddit
Also random Jewish people across the world don't deserve to have violence done to them in the name of fighting Israel.
Paraparo@reddit
It's quite literally a blatant example of collective punishment.
Which is ironic, if you think people who didn't do anything, on the other side of the globe even, are legitimate targets for revenge merely for being of the same ethnic group, well... Honestly, that's not a two way street these people ought to be going down given it's one of the most common complaints I see, it's not like the people the "fight the Israel" crowd support have perfectly clean hands if that's the bar random revenge is warranted over.
snek99001@reddit
When governments opposed to the West arrest political dissidents and radicals they're called "authoritarian regimes". Here's it's different though. When we do it there's always a valid and convenient excuse. Curious...
meister2983@reddit
Europe has low freedom of speech by American standards. News at 11
travistravis@reddit
America doesn't bother with anti-hate speech laws, unlike most of Europe.
meister2983@reddit
Exactly. More freedom in America
travistravis@reddit
Free to be just as racist and bigoted as you want, as long as you're licking the boots of the state.
meister2983@reddit
Who says I have the lick the boots of the state? "Trump is a dumb fuck".
Now when are the police coming to my door?

meister2983@reddit
Freedom of speech doesn't apply to non-citizens
TJMilkshake@reddit
To be fair, this is an actual example of promoting a hate crime, and regardless what group it’s aimed towards, you can’t bring this kind of rationale to America where everyone’s race, religion and creed have actual protections by law
Shady_bookworm51@reddit
thing is any other group does this they don't get arrested. someone could make a post like that about Muslims or Christians and they wouldn't have jack boots at their doors.
TearOpenTheVault@reddit
Objectively not true in the UK, but pop off I guess.
Shady_bookworm51@reddit
are you really telling me that someone being this bigoted against Muslims would be arrested? i think not.
WestcoastAlex@reddit
a reform candidate just said Nigerian immigrants should be melted down to fill potholes
Shady_bookworm51@reddit
Given that he said that in 2024 and I'm not seeing any punishment it just proves my point.
WestcoastAlex@reddit
exactly.
The_Aim_Was_Song@reddit
You seem awfully upset that someone calling for violence against Jews has been arrested.
And yes, in the UK, people have been prosecuted and convicted for hate speech against Muslims.
It's not even hard to google. You were just upset enough about antisemitic incitement to violence resulting in an arrest that you didn't bother to look up these:
Did nobody explain to you that you're not suppost to let the mask drop this much? This sort of shit is why I left the NDP.
WestcoastAlex@reddit
its not calling for violence
Shady_bookworm51@reddit
and when they get the same kind of sentence as someone being anti jewish does, i might care about those slaps on the wrist.
The_Aim_Was_Song@reddit
I can hear the sound of goalposts scraping backward.
The two people in this article have been arrested but haven't even been sentenced yet. I'm not sure how you know that the people convicted of anti-Muslim hate speech got "the same kind of sentence" unless you've got a time machine.
We get it. Someone was advocating for attacking a synagogue, and you're goalpost-scrapingly mad that they were arrested for it.
Are you, perhaps, another one of those people who's "totally not an antisemite" who we keep hearing from?
WestcoastAlex@reddit
correct
TJMilkshake@reddit
Most government officials choose Christianity to placate their voter bases as it’s overwhelmingly the largest religion in America.
I agree with what you are saying, but the point I’m making is that no GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL should be able to say that about any religion, although one does seem to be favored over others
WestcoastAlex@reddit
there is no promotion of hate crime
loggy_sci@reddit
Calls for violence against Jews isn’t political dissent.
The worst thing to happen to anti-Zionism is you absurd online anti-Zionists
WestcoastAlex@reddit
its not call for violence
Cuddlyaxe@reddit (OP)
Can't wait for people on this sub to defend these obviously antisemitic posts as antizionism
The left has an antisemitism problem.
WestcoastAlex@reddit
whats antisemetic about them?
is any attack on any Jewish person automatically 'antisemitic'?
Mammoth-Corner@reddit
These really surprise me, not necessarily that candidates could think that but that they could post them publically without thinking twice. I think it's notable that both the Greens and Reform (and to a lesser extent every other party) seem to have a major issue with candidate vetting. I would assume the candidacy process should include 'Have you ever posted an incitement to racial hatred? Let me check your full social media history. OK, now that you are a candidate, here's what to never ever post: first of all, incitement to racial hatred. Second...'
SpontaneousFlame@reddit
You’re assuming these posts were recent. They might be really old. Party vetters will go back months or years. Those against the party are willing to go back decades.
WestcoastAlex@reddit
they are recent, just misrepresented and exagerrated and zionized as usual
handlesdumplings@reddit
willing to bet these posts were made within the last 2 years
travistravis@reddit
A lesser extent? Labour let a pedophile enabler be the Ambassador to the US. There's another known associate of someone convicted of having CSAM that Starmer put into the House of Lords in January.
Mammoth-Corner@reddit
Those are obviously huge failures of the vetting process, but not failures of the parliamentary candidate vetting process, which is what I was talking about.
travistravis@reddit
Which Green parliamentary candidates is this article about? These are local.
Besmirching_Badger@reddit
I'd wager it's because they recruit ''normal'' grassroots people who aren't just generic parts of the political/ party machine.
Pretty much everyone has said something stupid on social media or shared something controversial or in bad taste. Unless they're already aware about the need to keep a clean public image or have scrubbed their socials well ahead of time.
ChefCurryYumYum@reddit
This shit is CRAZY in a democracy. America has a ton of troubles and corruption but it is always laughable to me when uneducated and uninformed people from other countries talk down about America while being totally ignorant of the issues facing their own corrupted democracy.
TearOpenTheVault@reddit
Considering the Trump administration has consistently been bullying and attempting to silence pundits, comedians and commenters, you should probably check your glass house before you hurl a brick.
ChefCurryYumYum@reddit
Hilarious, doing the exact thing I made my comment about.
TearOpenTheVault@reddit
You chose to bring the USA up on an entirely domestic UK issue.
ChefCurryYumYum@reddit
I relation to the topic at hand, corruption in democracies. I knew exactly the kind of people I was calling out would be exactly the kind of people who would reply.
And here you are!
handlesdumplings@reddit
gotta make this about the burger nation
ChefCurryYumYum@reddit
You felt called out personally?
Dr_Surgimus@reddit
What has this got to do with America?
rave-horn@reddit
I got permanently banned from r/worldnews today for saying that Germans viewed Jews as being responsible for their loss of WWI because early communist/Bolshevik leadership was largely Jewish. That is a fact, not hate speech.
I wonder if I’ll get banned from r/anime_titties, too?
Rafabas@reddit
While I sympathise with you (and agree), that's certainly not a provable "fact" as much as an opinion.
balvonas11@reddit
How is Germanys loss associated with communism and based on what source are you stating that early communism was largely jewish? As that is proven Nazi propoganda without factual basis.
Loose_Spray1678@reddit
it wasn't. Jews were separately blamed for Germany's loss and for communism. this is combining two different narratives about different groups of Jewish people from different countries.
it is true that most Jews in Russia supported communism. this is for the simple reason that the tsarist government actively promoted murdering people for being Jewish, and the communists opposed doing that, so it was literally suicidal politics to not be a communist. If you were a Jew who was not a communist, both sides in a civil war would be actively trying to murder you. If you were a Jew who was a communist, then only one side would try to kill you while the other side would protect you. there were also obviously some Jews who genuinely were communists, as well as people of every other ethnicity.
rave-horn@reddit
Communist uprisings undermined Germany’s war machine. Here’s a list of notable figures, with brief context at the end on why Jewish participation in these movements was significant in proportional terms.
Bolshevik leaders (Russian Revolution era)
Mensheviks and other Russian socialists
Communist theorists and thought leaders (broader tradition)
The two main communist leaders in Germany at the end of World War I were Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht. They co-founded the Spartacus League (Spartakusbund) in 1914–1915 as a radical anti-war faction within German social democracy, and in late December 1918 they transformed it into the Communist Party of Germany (KPD).
rimjob_mike@reddit
During WW1, German Jews served and died in the German Army at a much higher rate than German gentiles.
balvonas11@reddit
So Germany lost because of undermining, not because their war machine, production, tactics, economy was weaker than USA France and Britain? Did you know that Germany actually helped Lenin overthrow the Russian government? Communists were useful to them, as they closed the second front lmaoooo. I bet you did not know that lmaoooo. Also what about the 100 000 jews who served in the german army?
Loose_Spray1678@reddit
you are confusing two different antisemitic narratives. Jewish communists supported Germany in WWI because they wanted to defeat the tsar, and Germany did beat Russia in WWI. It was different Jews who allegedly caused Germany to lose WWI.
Big_Red_Machine_1917@reddit

felis_magnetus@reddit
It's a "fact" only racist POS care about.
rave-horn@reddit
The context was why Hitler and his supporters felt like Jews were their enemies. It’s history, which is something apparently very few people care about.
imunfair@reddit
It's considered an antisemitic conspiracy theory that they were "largely" Jewish since they were only about 25% of the party leadership, although that is obviously a much higher participation rate than normal since they were 2% of the population at the time.
Unusual_Leader_982@reddit
I got a 10 year old reddit account sitewide banned for sharing and quoting a UN report about the March of Return protests in 2020 on /r/worldnews. Ghislane Maxwell was a mod on there, so there's a non-zero percent chance I got a sitewide ban from Ghislane Maxwell.
I don't want to get another sitewide ban, but it's quite interesting how its users view one particular country overwhelmingly positive, while the rest of the internet views it overwhelmingly negative. I'm sure it's coincidental.
rave-horn@reddit
How dare you

Bait ass comment
Shane-8300@reddit
Lmao. Classic 51st state behaviour
Cuddlyaxe@reddit (OP)
Do you support the posts they made?
Shane-8300@reddit
I really don't care
Cuddlyaxe@reddit (OP)
Well at least you're open about your antisemitism I guess
loggy_sci@reddit
He’s saying he doesn’t care about violence towards Jews, because they’re all <<>>.
Shane-8300@reddit
If it makes you feel better, I'll start caring when the "antisemitism crisis" isn't pushed entirely by pro-Israel shills.
Advanced-Net-8119@reddit
i mean thats just not true
AuroraPo@reddit
It is absolutely true. No one benefits more from a rise of true antisemitism than Israel.
Advanced-Net-8119@reddit
so every anti- semetic person is a mossad agent?
Shane-8300@reddit
In Britain it is
Advanced-Net-8119@reddit
nope
Born_Worldliness2558@reddit
It is true
Advanced-Net-8119@reddit
so you dont think that there are real anti-semetic people?
PartySr@reddit
Israel is literally endorsing alt right political parties in Europe.
Advanced-Net-8119@reddit
still, there are plently of genuine anti semetic people
snowlynx133@reddit
Really sad that your care for humans lives depends on extremist politicians
Shane-8300@reddit
If I actually see someone being mistreated for being jewish I'll step in, same as I would for any other kind of bullying.
In the meantime I won't pretend to give two shits about any pearl clutching from folks happy to run cover for the Israeli state.
snowlynx133@reddit
What do you call openly supporting a terrorist attack on a synagogue if not "mistreating people for being jewish"
Shane-8300@reddit
I call it a shitty thing to say.
I'm not about to get up in arms about someone who may well know people murdered by Israel, same as I wouldn't over a Ukrainian saying something similar about Russians. And I'm definitely not going to give a shit when most of the people boosting it are supporters of Israel.
snowlynx133@reddit
There's no excuse for condoning racist attacks whether or not you have a personal grievance against some members of that ethnicity
Cuddlyaxe@reddit (OP)
You are a sick individual who does not care about people openly celebrating killing civilians in a synagogue entirely unrelated to Israel. The only people who care what you think are your fellow racists and fascists.
elvss4@reddit
Nice Ad Hominem bud.
Cuddlyaxe@reddit (OP)
The posts in question are literally celebrating and justifying terrorist attacks. This is as much an ad hominem as calling Nick Fuentes a Nazi
elvss4@reddit
“Do you support the post they made” “I don’t care” Then you call him an anti semite for not caring about what a fool posts on Twitter, the gotcha isn’t cheeky and it isn’t cute.
