ULPT Request: How long do you wait to retaliate?

To keep things vague, a person or people have slighted my wife and I am taking it worse than her. She is going through the proper channels to get her problem resolved. Me, on the other hand, I am very petty and i have spent a lot of time on this sub. I have my plans, signing up for texts and emails, etc. I literally have every piece of information about this/these person/people.
So my question for you guys today is this. How long do I wait before I start taking action? I don't want anything to come back to my wife but I am fuming and want to act now which in my brain I know is not a smart move.

If more than one person - this is just a thought - perhaps start with one Sob then wait a little bit in between the next SOB. Don't do them all at once. I think that would be more obvious. Patience.

If you really want to wreak some havoc, if their dudes, throw a couple hair ties or a pair of women’s undies in their car if the windows are open. Their wives will freak on them. If women, condom wrapper so the husband finds it.
If it’s REALLY worth it, make a fake profile of some hot chick and start catfishing them. When they take the bait, screengrab it all and send to the wives.

I had a dude burn me for 800 bucks in a drug deal.
I waited about 6-8 months then went to his work and slashed his tires and broke out all his windows and poured V8 juice all over the inside of the car and went home.
He never even contacted me to ask if I'd done it. One would assume he's burned more than just me and had a list of possible suspects lol.

As a guy who has been married for a LONG time, if your lady has it handled and asked you to not get involved, DO NOT get involved other than to support her. Taking action behind her back will make her feel like you don’t think she can handle it.

Someone stole from me in 2004 so recently I looked him up on social media, got some photos and info, and made a web site all about him and what he did. He was going through a marriage breakup at the time and was doing things to get some quick cash.
He's got quite a medical career going these days so it's going to quite a problem for him when I tell his colleagues how he was stealing money years ago.

Craigslist used to have this men for men section in the classifieds. I They might still I don't know. My roommates ex put his number on that site. Out of nowhere his phone started blowing up with dick pics and calls from dudes trying to get there dick sucked. It was ruthless and went on for weeks. Felt bad for my roommate but that shit was kinda funny to watch.

You wait until... the target has pissed off somebody else. Then you strike. Either way, I would say at least six months. If you strike while the iron is hot, you will leave a mark. And you don't want to do that.

You wait a ridiculous amount of time. Put it in your calendar. In the meantime just collect the things you're going to use. Six, eight, ten months after the punishment is over then you slowly begin and ramp up. I've literally never been caught and I've worked with so many narcissists, my family is full of cluster B people. No one will suspect you as long as you react correctly.

If your wife doesn’t want you to do anything, don’t do anything. If you go against her wishes and do anything you’re just creating more issues, you’re making it worse for your wife and you make the whole thing about you.

I know what sub this is, but I urge you to do nothing. Your wife is handling it the way she wants to. Circumventing her to start more drama is probably the last thing she wants or needs from you right now. You don't want it to come back on your wife, but there is a very high chance that it is if you stir shit up.
Respect your wife and let her decide how to handle this. put that energy into doing something special for her; show her that nothing those other people did matters. I guarantee Your love and kindness will mean so much more to her than you getting petty revenge to soothe your own emotions.

I would wait until your wife goes through the proper channels. If whatever revenge you have in mind happens way after the event you will have plausible deniability, and if they get fired or fined or something as a result of your wife going through the proper channels it’s retaliation enough in my opinion.
