What model do u think this is?
I checked it on the china question, and it refuses to answer them. So definitely a chinese model.

I think I can confirm Chinese model, it affirmed that Taiwan is part of China.

I can't stand mistral, even though from europe and have a love for OSS. that model is just crap compared to wat other models can produce.
One day i'm hoping they will have there braketrhough before going bancrupt but I just don't see it unfortunatly. all the major LLM's are pushing for code and agents while Mistral is still being the nice chat buddy.

Haha. Personally I've found that pretty much all OS models are around the same level of efficacy, some with different strengths than others.
I use Gemma 4 for a work project, but it might be worth it to see what Mistral's good at as well. IIRC at one point they were the one of the best OS VLM.

Yea i would definitely try the new Mistral model I know that it is instruct + thinking in one model but I don't know if it has vision

IIRC its only this way via api if you run it locally it can criticize the CCP no problem so seems to be some sort of system prompt on the api.

generaly, via API, you go via a filter that either injects an extra prompt or if it detects certan key words with a seperate LLM, it will reject you before even getting to the core LLM. even more fustrating when you get a reasoning model that repasses via the filter (Looking at you gemini / banana)

Good to. know. Still it is almost a certainty that directly trained into these models weights is a great a many geopolitical stances that I and my entire family and country would find unacceptable. So in my personal and professional capacity I rather avoid Chinese models.

I think it's heavily censored and blocked to preserve its 'identity.' I ran it in an agent environment and it says: 'I'm Owl, a driver in this car named sot-cli' (the terminal agent). Anyway, let's see what it can do.
