Need help finding a restaurant

Hi there,
So i need to find a small, almost hole in the wall, spot for a first date. Ideally some sort of thai/south east Asian cuisine or Mexican. Id like to find something kinda intimate, but not too much yk, good vibes and good food
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Viet Kitchen in Wolverton is my go-to. Another hidden gem is Cafe Sen in Bletchley, they serve Vietnamese food. Lion Rock Cafe, also in Bletchley, they sell Hongkong style food. Another one in unassuming place is Foodie Mama inside Stantonbury Leisure Centre.
Also, on Sunday, May 10th, there is an East Asian Pop-up Market at the MK City Discovery Centre from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
I went last year, and there were lots of food vendors selling Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Taiwanese street food and dessert. It's best to get there as early as possible, though, as the queues can get quite long!

For Mexican, there is The Burrito Boat, which sometimes moor in or near MK. They travel along the canals, it is best to check their social media for their whereabouts.

how glamerous - for our first date he bought take away from a canal boat, and we had to sit next to the smelly canal?

Hahaha I didn't think about that! It's waterfront dinner, Venice on a budget 🤣🤣

I swore I'd never step foot in Viet Kitchen until they sorted their abysmal hygiene rating out.

Yeah, looks like it isn't great at the moment. 2 or 3, I think? To be fair, I've never had any food poisoning or got sick after eating there, though. However if I have a severe or life threatening allergy/ intolerance, I think I would avoid eating there until they sort their hygiene rating out.

I used to get Cafe Sen regularly when I lived by Bletchley! They’re so tucked away I always thought they’d never last lol, glad they’re still going!

3rd this. It's a really great place, the food is amazing. It's often forgotten about or unknown. Bit pricy though.

Check out Wok Unit in New Bradwell. If you let them know it’s for a date, they will accommodate to your needs. It definitely ticks all of your requirements.

Think the only Mexican place is in Buckingham.

Carnitas, right? Don't think I've been there in ages
I still find it a bit much they did all the work to get a Tortilla in the city centre then at the last minute pivoted to make another Pret. Woop-de-doo

Yes, although if you liked it I’d suggest going again soon as it’s on the market..
