The new prime minister of Hungary that won more than 70 percent of the seats of the Parlament wants to authorize the tax authority to block transactions "suspected to help money laundering" for up to 90 days, change from a current few days.
His narrative is that the previous prime minister stole so much money that he wants to create something called "national wealth repossessing authority", to chase the way of money of the whole inner circle of the previous prime minister, and that richest people in the country close to him.
Basically seems like what happened during Holocaust or Stalinism, and many people clap their hands for it.

I'm not following how this is like the Holocaust.
I've never really thought about money laundering in relation to liberalism. Realistically if there's reason to believe it's related to corruption in not against it.
Wealth tax is a sticky point for me. On the one hand it's a "least bad tax" as it doesn't punish meaningful production, but on the other it can distort markets

"I'm not following how this is like the Holocaust."
During Holocaust many Hungarians volunteeres to get uniforms so that they can pull out their neighbours from their house, steal their jewelry and shoes, and shoot them in the head.
Also the authorities during Soviet occupation were Hungarian people.
This guy is basically supported by EU leaders and very likely by Ukrainians secret service, and has now a constitution-making majority that he is willing to use against his political opponents, to seize their assets, even abroad. In a country where there is a face recognition camera system built by the CCP. Maybe now it makes more sense.
"Also, no neither were voted for in that country and Hungary famously had a rebellion against Stalinism"
In 1956 the internal minister flew to Moscow, and asked the Soviet Union to send a large amount of tanks and soldiers to kill Hungarian people. He became the new leader, then took out loans to spend on welfare benefits, and much of that is still paid if I know it right. He was Hungarian. (Kádár)

This is a whole lot of unfounded allegation.
Yes there were thousands of antisemites in Hungary, still are. Don't understand what that has to do with preventing cronyism.
As for the constitution majority, you are aware that orban heavily modified the constitution since 2010, right? Regulatory and court capture is law there now.

Executing one's neighbours for being from a different "tribe" has not much to do with antisemitism.
I am Hungarian btw and involved in politics.

Very unfortunate, to be sure. Orban was a poor choice for freedom as well, particularly when it comes to speech and the press. Combine that with the fact that he's been in power since 2010 and you have a hunger for literally anyone else to take the reins.
When a people are desperate for a change, they'll vote in favor of anyone that opposes the other guy, even if it may end up not being in their best interest.

If you consider that the Chinese Communist Party built a face recognition camera system for the Hungarian government, and now the new guy is openly ready to change the constitution in any way to go after those he claims as enemies, it doesn't sound good.
