Hello, I have had a local shop build me a gaming pc last week:
- palit 5070 ti
- 9600x
- biwin 48 gb ram
- asrock b850 challenger
- fsp vita 750 w gold
- Phantek 120mm pwm fan cooler
- Philips 4k 27" dual mode
- Gigabyte c103 case
- windows home 11 code oem
- ssd from my previous laptop
Total : 2340 usd
I would like to ask you guys what do you think? Especially my 48 gb ram, I was given Anacomda King snake 32gb in the beginning, but it crashed my game and failed in windows, the shop upsell me to 48 gb with 50usd extra. But I don't really see where I need such ram.
Anything I need to be aware of using this combination? I will use this pc for 4k gaming but I can sacrifice fps, and I need to maintain it under 65C because no AC. Are there any sweet spot which is appropriate for me?

How fast are the rams ?
I assume you already bought everything ?

It is called "Biwin Origin Code Vortex RGB DDR5 48GB (24GB x 2) 6000MHz CL26" , yeah I bought everything, but just curious if my combination is good.

For 50 USD extra? Definitely worth it then, for todays prices , the 50 dollar difference is almost nothing imo for the improvement.
32 GB versus 48 GB is already better future proofing. Additionally, it uses proper chips from Hynix M die 24 Gbit so it has value.
I also got a 48 GB 6000 kit but from Kingbank with CL28 in my own PC with a Ryzen 7 7700 for future proofing and for future CPU upgrades that may want higher frequency so that I can OC there and make it perform its best. You can do that as well in the future.

It is a terrible time I build my pc, 48gb ram was near 500 USD, the 32gb was 450 USD. I remember I bought something like 16gb ram for my laptop was only 50 USD ... Anyway I saw the box written life time warranty I hope I can use it for another 10 years

Yeah 32 gb for 450 is hella overpriced, atleast 500 is more justified for the 48 gb.
I got my 48 gb from Aliexpress back in November 2025 for 166 on 11.11 deals.
I was really lucky to grab it last minute before the prices skyrocketed.
Don't worry, enjoy your new build it will be really really nice. Try some OC aswell when you are bored.

Which game need to OC? or what do we do that need to be OC?
Vegetable-Matter3953@reddit
I meant like if you are ever bored maybe you can do some overclocking. Those RAMs do it great.
Beside that there is a 105w tdp mode on that cpu. Which you can enable in eco mode settings in the bios if you wanna push more power from the cpu.
There might be maybe some headroom with the gpu aswell about the powerlimit part or you could do just a basic vram oc with undervolting to make the gpu run lower temps while keeping the performance or have better performance.
Again , enjoy the PC , looks nice specs wise.
If you don't wanna bother with those stuff , it's fine aswell. They run on stock well aswell.

Thanks for the tips! I have a long long time haven't 'play' with computer, I need to AI what you told me, yeah I want to achieve lower temp, where I live is quite hot in summer
Vegetable-Matter3953@reddit
What cooler did you get btw ? Is it big ? Do you have good airflow inside the case and have decent fans ?
sleep_eat_recycle@reddit (OP)
It is a single tower fan, my case is gigabyte C103 glass, there are 3 intake and 1 exhaust, few days ago it was around 27C outside, I found gaming in my tiny room is actually quite hot
