Crucial Pro 2x24GB DDR5 6000 compatible out of the box with Asus ROG STRIX B850-A?

So, I've been running the same PC since 2016, with 16GB of DDR3 RAM and a GTX 1070, and I'm finally looking to upgrade since prices just keep going up and my old PC is starting to run very slow when I play newer games even on the lowest settings. (also kind of becoming a fire hazard since only the front case fans work and the dust buildup is bad) The only thing I've yet to decide on is what sort of memory I want, but a 2x24GB kit seems like it would provide the memory I need for the next 10 years. But, for the Crucial Pro Kit at least, PCPartpicker says the BIOS may require an update to support certain 24GB sticks of RAM, which, I suppose I could attempt, doesn't seem too too hard. But I could also just get a 2x32GB kit to reduce the effort. I just don't imagine ever using 64GB of RAM at once, and 48 is already pushing it. Maybe someone could convince me to only buy 32 gigs but I feel like getting more before the prices go up even further makes sense, just for the extra future proofing. Maybe that doesn't make sense. Looking for both a plain answer to the title and input on all that I guess.

Assuming this is primarily for gaming, it is very likely 32GB will last you a very long time without compromises. 10 years might be a stretch, but the chance DDR5 will stay this expensive over that entire period is negligible. Then again 16GB is also nearing 10 years as a default, and it's rare that's not sufficient for a gaming PC.
If you do want more, also check out 2x32GB. Perhaps it's different with current RAM prices, but 2x32GB was usually better value than 2x24GB. 2x24GB should work just fine though.

I don't see why it wouldn't.

Well, the PCPartPicker compatability warns about needing to update BIOS, and so does AI, but that's probably because it isn't specifically listed under the compatible ram on ASUS' webpage for the MOBO. But you're probably right, I can't imagine every single page for every MOBO components compatibility is fully up to date.

You’ll be fine, motherboard should take it regardless. Worst case scenario is you have to flash the bios, but all you’ll need is a flash drive with the updated bios version on it which you can get off your old pc.

Sounds good, thank you both.
