I think this is "609" by looking at the addresses on the buildings themselves. And it sorta looks like where he and Marty had their conversation... about it being the 10th...

That’s the one!
superphly@reddit
Far out man.
The_BarroomHero@reddit
The actual residence is across the street at 606 Venezia, third unit back. They just changed the number for the purposes of the movie (but obviously not that much).
You're not dealing with morons here.
Broccoli662@reddit
I used to live at 609 Venezia and we'd get letters, postcards, randos coming around all the time. We loved it! We'd direct them across the street (as you correctly point out that 606 Venezia was in fact the residence used for filming). Here are a few shots from my time there, including a Wells Fargo debit card someone took out in Jeffrey Lebowski's name, along with a postcard from "Obama."
The_BarroomHero@reddit
Hell yeah, that's awesome. Love that there was an achiever at the location for a while. Was that part of the appeal when you moved in?
Broccoli662@reddit
Honestly, don’t even know it was the Dude’s (almost) abode! It wasn’t until later that we realized why we had so many visitors. At that point it was an absolute honor to live there. I hosted an outdoor screening of the Lebowski in the courtyard that felt semi-religious.
The_BarroomHero@reddit
The surreality of that feels very Cohen Bros

That's 609 Venezia circa \~1998. It was much, much nicer when we lived there.

For some reason, Apostrophe Gore threads show up in my feed. This could be cross posted there. Unless Ralph's has no apostrophe.

Imagine living in 609. Their experience with people nosing about their home looking for for the dudes house strangely mirrors the plot of the movie. Invasive people who come look for the wrong Lebowski residence.
Inevitable-Cell-1227@reddit
Completely unspoiled.

I've been there. Lots of cool locations all around LA. I've stood outside Greystone Mansion at the window behind Lebowski's desk, and you can look in and see the fireplace on the side. The diner the nihilists eat at is actually really cool and the food's good. The exterior of Maude's loft is in downtown LA. Of course the Dude's bungalow here. And the cliffs in San Pedro where Donnie's ashes are scattered. Very amusing. And there are Ralph's everywhere.

So, that was Mrs. Lundegaard on the floor in there. And I guess that was your accomplice in the wood chipper. And those three people in Brainerd. And for what? For a little bit of money? There's more to life than a little money, you know. Don'tcha know that? And here ya are, and it's a beautiful day. Well. I just don't understand it.
axlgreece5202@reddit
Dinah's. Actually just reading it moved locations after massive development nearby.

And there's also Johnnie's coffee shop across the street from the Petersen Automobile Museum. When you watch the scene between the Dude and Walter you can actually see the old facade of the building that used to have a monster truck hanging. That spot is an empty coffee shop specifically used for coffee shop scenes in shows and movies.
The Dude. In Los Angeles.

If it wasn’t going to be an environmental cock up I’d like to be rolled over those cliffs in my car in a mash up of Donnie and the Jag scene from Harold and Maude.
ggghhhggghhhh@reddit
I remember reading about it a while back. To go to the cliffs in San Pedro You have to duck under a fence, and maybe it's a military property or something. Sounds like a mission. Makes it more exciting to go see the hallowed place where Donnie's ashes were spread.
axlgreece5202@reddit
Yeah, it looked like a steep drop off and people allegedly have been hurt or needed rescuing. It's a bluff and seems like parts of earth are ready to collapse with the wrong step. But it's covered in graffiti so some locals are daring enough. Buncha amateurs.
bitpartmozart13@reddit
Did you make it to North Hollywood near Radford, by the In-n-out burger?
axlgreece5202@reddit
Oh yeah, I did make it to Larry's house. And there are also In-N-Out's everywhere too. Those are good burgers!

ggghhhggghhhh@reddit
That's awesome. My hat's off to you. I've only been to the bungalow. Very cool. This was a long time ago. At that point the diner which I haven't been to was strictly used as a movie set. Is it now a functioning diner? Is the decor similar to the movie?.
