I think it's a book on the subject. Was pretty common. AI didnt really mean chat bot back then. Think more the ghosts in pacman. Path finding, and so on.
Too cool. The good ol 1541. Slow af, but at least it cost 5x more than anyone else's drive 😆
What joysticks are those? I seem to recall I went through a bunch of different ones before trying one of those small Kraft joysticks which actually lasted as long as I had the 64
Yeah I don’t recall exactly when we got them, but we had that C64 as our primary computer until we got a 486 DX2 66Mhz. It was our primary game system hahah.

Good joysticks. I have exactly the same set.

Except for the tape drive, which I don’t really remember but want to say it was just ,8

Be careful with that artificial intelligence. I’ve heard things.

It's probably Eliza.

My Commodore 64 is the first model, with no shelf on the back half--just a rounded slope from the keyboard. Label was simpler too.
badwolf42@reddit (OP)
We had that one, but it died and we bought this one to replace it.

The printer... man... I hope it has a ribbon. You can see the stuff printed years ago on it.
badwolf42@reddit (OP)
Ribbon, yup. I can still hear it in my head.

The 1541 was pretty cool. While slow out of the box one could use fast loaders. Some games would even have their own fastloader in them.
Using 2 1541s, and a special cable, you could backup floppies in 21 seconds. You could even turn the computer off and do so.

The black one is quick shot but I’ll look at the red ones. We probably got them at Babbage’s
KarmaTorpid@reddit
I know those two joysticks. They are from a later time.

I can smell the melting wax from the okidata, talk about a throwback!

I can hear that red joystick clicking from here.

Idk why it didn’t post the 1541 floppy drive, but that absolute unit was in the box too.
