I recently replaced my motherboard and my cpu and now I’m having trouble loading it up. I’ve don’t some research and I’ve tried going to bios but all that comes is a black screen. My motherboard signal thingy is showing there is a problem with my vga and boot. My motherboard before was an asrock b450 and now a b550. My cpu was a ryzen 5 3600x and now it’s a 5600x.

Title says it shows something but then in text you say it shows black screen?
Is your GPU plugged in, powered and monitor plugged into it?
Try reseating RAM, it helps a lot of times.
Can you make bootable usb and put it into the PC to try if it can boot from it?

Whenever I try to go into bios it goes to a black screen. Should’ve clarified more.

What storage do you use SATA drive or m2? Did you move it to the new motherboard?

I’m using a SATA drive, and I’m not sure so probably not.

You have to plug it into the new mobo, also check if power is plugged into the drive.
Also also as you changed not only cpu, but chipset(mobo) I recommend you reinstall windows, it should work without it, but you never know with windows.

This fixed the issue, but I’m still concerned if it’s normal if the mother board signifies issues with the red light when booting up but goes back to normal when fully. And also some games are a bit laggy when they weren’t before.

You have to install chipset drivers, but new windows install is prefered.
Did you put enought thermal paste on CPU? Does the mobo have more than one red led to show what is the problem?
Good luck
