Best time to visit Rudas Spa ?

Hi everyone! I’m returning to Budapest in early May, this time with my girlfriend. On my last trip (in January), I loved Lukács, but I'm looking for something different. Rudas Baths is at the top of our list, but I’m worried about the seasonal crowds. Since we’re there for a full week and have total flexibility, when is the absolute best day and time to visit Rudas to avoid the rush while still getting the 'full' experience?

Make sure you go around 7 8 am after that it’s really crowded especially in the weekends.

Never. Rudas is so absolutely packed day and night, with people lining up to get in, that I'd say you can't avoid the rush. Still it'll be a nice experience if you try, same with Széchenyi.

this is simply not true, i go randomly once a month or so and i've never queued

I think they are a Rudas enjoyer and just don't want it to be crowded.
In my experience even when they are not letting more people in the bath is still not overcrowded and very enjoyable. Although I am spending most of my time in the hottest baths saunas or the coldest places.

Near opening time on the weekedns if fine. But preferably a weekday. Dont forget to check if the turkish bath can be used by both sex on that day

Since you want to go with your girlfriend, as early as comfortable when it's coed:
Monday, Thursday, Friday: 11:00 - 22:00
Saturday, Sunday: 6:00 - 20:00

Thanks man! Would you say it’s better to come around opening time in the week-days or weekend?

Weekday is probably less busy but you really don't need to go at 6, just reasonably before noon.

Appreciate it 🙏
