Is there an obd2 scanner that can permanently delete/remove tpms from dash without reprogramming?

Looking for a more affordable obd2 scanner able to clear tpms as my new tires don’t have it. 2011 ford focus. Not looking to spend too much, but understand it needs to be a 2-way more than reader scanner but really just need the delete functionality and no formal reprogramming or relearning function.

For your 2011 Focus, cheap OBD2 readers won’t do TPMS just basic codes.
I’d go with a youcanic scanner. It’s affordable for what it offers and gives you bi-directional/service functions like TPMS reset without going full dealership-level tool. Anything cheaper is usually just a code reader or hit-or-miss.

tbh permanently deleting TPMS entirely usually gets more complicated than people expect bc a lot of cars don't fully let you code it out unless the tool has deeper module access.
Forscan is probably where i'd start researching on a Focus before buying expensive hardware. a lot of Ford owners already use that ecosystem for config changes
caarissta gets mentioned sometimes too for service/configuration stuff but idk if i'd buy anything assuming TPMS delete is guaranteed specifically

Most obd2 scanners will only clear the TPMS fault, not permanently remove it. Tools like Carista can help read and reset TPMS related codes on a 2011 Focus, which is useful for figuring out what’s actually triggering the warning.

Less of a pain just to have America's tire install new TPMS and program.
I mean sure costs a few bucks but a TPMS box is almost same overall price.

Check Forscan. It's software, you'll need a USB odb2 adapter

Thanks for the advice, I already have a FIXD Bluetooth scanner but don’t think it’s good for clearing these errors

Not the same thing. Forscan is Ford software that runs on a PC and can modify a lot of parameters in the vehicle modules. I've only used it with an F150 but it can disable TPMS. I'm not sure if a 2011 Focus is supported

There's a handful of readers that are capable of doing this and can be found on Amazon or harbor freight but you'll be spending around $150 and up for a decent one. I don't know about your area but the tires shops near offer to turn the tpms light for cheap

Understood, thank you. Wonder if I can rent a nice enough obd2 scanner
