My new project I just bought

I just purchased this 64 bel air wagon, with a 283 original motor with 20k on the dash. It’s a 3 on the tree transmission. Haven’t fully decided where I want to go with it but I know I want it to be the perfect Sunday cruiser and fully restored. I’ll add more photos once I get it in the garage.

Thank you

That’s awesome. I’d drive it as-is and definitely wouldn’t change the engine/transmission combo.

I’m gonna drive it once the suspension and brakes have been gone threw and see how it does on highways and such

No under hood pics but I'm going to guess it has a single pot master cylinder. You can survive with 4 wheel drums if you don't drive like an idiot and realize that your brakes are going to fade as they get hot but with a single pot master cylinder any seal or line failure and your going to be Fred freaking Flintstone trying to stop that bad boy by sticking your feet through the holes in the floorboards.

Just cruise it and enjoy it the way it is.

It needs some work but not terribly much this weekend I’ll post the bad areas this weekend

Us guys on the East Coast are so jealous of the old almost perfect rust free bodies out there.

Wagons have become a thing now. I can see this turning out very sweet.

If it's not rusty definitely just do maintenance and enjoy it the way it is, if you take the whole thing apart to restore it someone will likely buy it from your estate sale before it evet sees the road again.
