This is what I used a lot of the time when I used to have my long range rifle. It was good stuff for sure that wasn't uber expensive. But I learned real quick that long range shooting is a ginormous money pit, so I got out while I was ahead lol.

I bought 1000 rounds early last year and these shoot fine. I average a 0.7-0.9” group out of a ruger American with these. They were also almost half the price February last year.

You got golden target 6.5 creedmoor for less than $20 a box delivered? That's wild...we have never seen our cost that low on it, even when Norma was being acquired and liquidating a bunch of stuff, we never saw 6.5 creedmoor close to that.

I really should’ve bought a lot more S&B 140gr 6.5CM a few years ago when it was like $15 a box all day. Good stuff for the price. Now you can barely find anything decent for 6.5 or 308 under $1 a pop aside from M80 ball which is terrible lol

Ah yeah...We can't even get any 308 for less than like $18 a box or so and that's just PMC ball ammo. 6.5 Creedmoor...the S&B stuff is getting tariffed and there really wasn't any other "cheap" decent options that I'm aware of. I have not seen a good deal from Federal on the Gold Medal stuff in almost a year now.

Norma has higher velocity spread than Berger or gold medal IME but it’s cheap and it shoots pretty dang well. I use it for inside 600 shooting and then handload the brass for comps and hunting

It's great for the price, my experience has been about 12 FPS SD and right around 1 MOA out of my 1-8 twist aero barrel. My Solus liked the sig or federal match 140s better but at substantially more $ per round.

If you're shooting inside 500 yd/m I don't think you'll see enough of a difference to matter. I mostly shoot ELD because I got thousands and thousands of rounds like eight years ago, and those are also the bullets I have for reloading, but I sprinkle in others here and there, including this.
Reaching out to 1,000 and going beyond, though, the ELD shows much greater consistency in any of my guns. It's heavier, though - i shoot the 147s preferentially for distance because mass matters monumentally when you're trying to see how far your hardware can actually go. So 130gr Norma vs 147gr Hornady isn't truly apples to apples.
End of the day unless you're way better than most of us, you'll be the main source of error in your groupings, not your ammo or your gun. Just buy some ammo and go shoot.
