Ya'll. I'm way too excited about something I'm not eligible for.

if you have the tmobile app.. t life is offering a free personal pizza with a $2 purchase at Pizza Hut.. the thing is... what the hell do you buy for 2 dollars?
Meatball-Alfredo-Mom@reddit
Can I sign my cat up? I’ll read the books out loud to her and share the pizza.
spuldup@reddit
The child has to be present to claim, so you'd have to take your cat to Pizza Hut.
Meatball-Alfredo-Mom@reddit
That would be quite a scene lol

I read out loud to my cat (we're currently doing The Iliad) so I am good with this idea 👍

My library is doing a summer reading challenge that’s broken up into various age groups and I’m so fucking stoked for it
Positive_Mud952@reddit
This is what got me reading for fun, since I could pick things like the book adaptation of Batteries Not Included or Steven King or Discworld instead of depressing/boring shit like Hatchet that was assigned in school (not trying to yuck your yum if you love that book, just how I felt). I was just trying to find something I didn’t want to read less than I did want pizza as a very, very poor kid, but when I got to pick … yeah, it worked.
My life would be very, very, very different if it wasn’t for this program. I’m always beyond skeptical of corporate charity these days and I have to admit I’m skeptical of this new incarnation, but it is the opposite of an exaggeration to say the previous one changed my life for the better in ways I don’t have the wit to make brief.
Sure would be nice if the government did things that made little kids salivate over the smell of an old-school personal pan pizza for doing a thing that will improve their lives instead of dread the smell of tan walls and green tile for doing a thing that will make their lives worse. A very complicated kudos to whoever is making this happen at Pizza Hut, Inc. or whatever the tax shelter company’s name is.

We had a local pizza place called Green Mill that had a reading program. For starters, the pizza was much better than Pizza Hut. Second, they gave a kid's pizza (honestly enough to share with a sibling) for the first 25 books, but then a full pizza plus a take and bake if they kept it up. Plus, the manager would come out and congratulate the kid for reading. It was a blast.

Don't let them hear you call a suburbanite that.

Government should do Book It! for adults. You do a book a month, you get a $500 credit on your taxes.
bluemitersaw@reddit
Our local library has a reading program that's mostly aimed at kids but adults are welcome. The prizes are pretty age agnostic too. Usually it's things like free tickets to the local minor league sports teams.

No, we don't really want an educated proletariat.

I'm happy to see kids reading!
CalliopePenelope@reddit
Too bad Pizza Hut tastes like garbage nowadays
desidiosus__@reddit
Thank you! It's not just me. I used to love Pizza Hut (now that I think about it, I probably started liking it due to Book It! as a kid lol) The sauce is weirdly sweet and inedible these days!
CalliopePenelope@reddit
Yeah, they tried to revamp and turn their recipe into Domino’s recipe, but that only resulted in two pizza chains with inedible pizza 😖

Sponsor the readers. “I will buy a pizza party for every class that reads 30 books in 90 days”
This is what patron should be for, not celebrity medical bills.
caramelcoldbrew@reddit
Yes!!! I’m making my kids do it.

Gotta get me a PERSONAL PAN baby

ASDF BOOK IT
Man, I’m happy too that another generation of kids gets to enjoy this program (although the pizza isn’t quite as good as we had back in the day… hey, it’s still pizza lol)
Talydia@reddit
I'm only 44, I think I'm still eligible...
Deep-Interest9947@reddit
Cool but I haven’t seen a Pizza Hut in years. And if I have it’s just some walk in a pick up your greasy to go pizza type establishment.
