Don't the experts say "Whatever you do, don't get into a vehicle and leave the scene with the kidnappers." Easier said than done when you have a 9mm pointed at your head.

I’ve actually had a gun pointed at me in attempted robbery ended up taking the gun away from them … turned out to be a bee bee gun painted black but I didn’t know that .

You think they're not going to point a 9mm at you at the second location?
JohnProof@reddit
Yep. "Never go to a second location." There are unfortunately fates worse than simply being shot to death.
DigOk8892@reddit
Not really the reality is your dead anyways . Better to try n fight , run yell whatever cause your definitely gonna die anyway

My worst fear when I drove
Jonas_Venture_Sr@reddit
I always feared wrong way drivers at night the most. At least it'd be a quick out.
Maleficent_Lab8672@reddit
True. I wonder how long the robbers kept him alive.
Taino871@reddit
Still fear a heart attack behind the wheel although I’m healthy,I’m old
Jonas_Venture_Sr@reddit
Choking on a roller dog is probably the most dangerous thing we'll do all day.
NJNeal17@reddit
Everyone is shocked when I tell them that truck driving is the 7th most dangerous job in America by body count.
Cops are 14th
Whoretron8000@reddit
Roofer and loggers are at the top.
Where is my thing brown line movement from other laborers?
NJNeal17@reddit
Yeah I can't even imagine using a chainsaw daily! Everyone fucks up eventually, hence our high ranking!

This is the ONE bonus for driver facing cameras: it lets dispatchers see what's going on and they can see a trucker being held against his will and call the police without the crooks even noticing.
ConsciousAwareness69@reddit
That’s not how they work. It only goes off and alerts safety department if there’s a hard brake or something like that.
JOliverScott@reddit
It's up to the fleet. They can be just event recorders or always recording.
arrynyo@reddit
Yea the place I worked at they recorded always but only notified safety if a hard brake, too many lane deviations, etc... And I think they had a button you could press to record manually like if a dickhead was in front of you doing dickhead things

God rest his soul. Rig in paradise trucker
