Where can I buy some good crop tops that will suit a teen boy?

I might be getting a navel piercing at some point this year if I can work up the confidence to ask and I need some crop top recommendations. Preferably in a more underwear style so it can serve as a vest and I can wear a regular T-shirt over it. I usually shop at M&S, Next it Sainsbury‘s but they’re all made for girls and I don’t know which would fit me.

I cut the collars off most of my tees and they don't fray, you just might need to shore up the seams.

I don’t really have anything specific in kind, just a crop top that will fit a male body and isn’t suited specifically to women’s breasts since obviously I don’t have those.

I would try maybe Urban Outfitters? They have roughly differentiated men and women’s sections, but many clothes can be gender neutral. I mean, I guess all clothes kind of are, if we want them to be. Even when things are designed and made with a man’s broad shoulders in mind, or the breasts of a woman, anyone can of course wear anything that physically fits their body.

Otherwise, crop/hem a more traditional male garment. Loads of people do it. Think punk, do your thing.

It's never too early to learn to sew! If you're into, for want of a better word, "gender-bendy" stuff (yes, clothes should be genderless but alas we live in a gendered world), you'll quickly run into the problem that things just aren't cut for your body (I've had the same problem in the opposite direction). Taking up a vest or tank top isn't the absolute easiest thing, but it's not the worst. It's also pretty easy if you have a professional sewing machine so you might be able to get it altered by someone on the high street.

If so else fails, just cut a few inches off with pinking shears and call it punk!
