Can anyone recommend a good antenatal class in MK?

My husband and I are going to be first time parents and I want to book places on to a good antenatal class and/or something that covers both birth and the basics of taking care of a baby. Any recommendations welcome!

Amazing experience at happy parent happy baby! Greta at answering questions and getting everyone in the room chatting loads. Love our group - so supportive

We did happy parent happy baby and found it very chilled and relaxed with an emphasise on socialising with and getting to know other first time parents who were due at the same time as us. Over a year later and all the mums are still really chatty and friendly.

A second for happy parent happy baby. We were second time parents but joined to make new friends after moving and it was wonderful. Saved my sanity through mat leave.

We did NCT and it was poor, the instructor was awful. An expert nutritionist did a session and she was good. It was made worse by one of the expectant mothers who kept interrupting, at nearly every opportunity, with anecdotes starting with..”I’ve read that…”, “I’ve heard that…”, “I have a friend that…” she honestly ruined the sessions for me and the poor quality of the instruction just compounded it for me. I know people that have enjoyed NCT but I really think it’s down to whether you make a connection with the other expecting parents. My wife remained part of the WhatsApp group until recently and some of the others had started playing dungeons and dragons together or attending cosplay events. To each their own but we knew immediately we weren’t going to become friends.

We did NCT and nearly 4 years later the people we met are some of my best friends now. The content they teach is okay, it's very pro breastfeeding, encourages less intervention regarding birth and didn't really do anything on c sections. I know there are other more Hypno birthing type courses out there but we did it to meet people. I am glad we did it.
