I still have my slammer with OJ Simpson on it. One side has him Behind Bars "In the slammer" and the other side has a depiction of him getting chased on the highway in the Bronco.

Do you all remember when Del Taco would have the chicken soft tacos for some absurd price, like 39 cents each? I heard people would go through the drive thru and order 100 at a time.

I was in college during the McDonald's 39 cent cheeseburgers. We would just get together and pile all of our loose change onto the coffee table and send a freshman to the drive thru to come back with as many as possible.

Yes, This was me and my friends as well! I didn't know if it was just the local McD's in SoCal or a wider promotion, but it was a lifesaver for us poor college kids.

The Pepe’s near me does cheap tacos, take out only, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. $1.50/ea. fir beef, chicken or pork. They aren’t 39 cents cheap, but still a great deal in this age. The steak ones are more expensive at $2.50/ea. Wife and I can eat our fill for $10-$12 total, which is crazy cheap for two people.
