We have a SENECA NVR That is really a DELL OEMR R250. Our VMS software in complaining about system resources yet we are monitoring resources closely and see no issue. Could the fact that we are running a Desktop OS be this issue?

Windows pro for workstations should be used when running desktop editions on server hardware. Potentially there is also an LTSC version of that, however I'm unaware.

What did the VMS vendor tell you when you asked?

There is no OS specified for the NVR. The client software says Desktop or server OS. I will ask the question.

I dont think i stuttered, but let me go again: What did the VMS vendor tell you when you asked?
And by asked, I mean literally calling them or sending them an email. Nobody here knows how many cameras or encoding streams youre running or the hardware its running on.
