Can Anybody ID this Police Department?

Markings found on a depression era shotgun receiver. with the way it’s abbreviated it could be a multitude of different places. I just thought maybe somebody might have a similarly marked gun in their collection and actually know where it’s from. It could be “City of ????” or council bluffs, crested butte, cutler bay, etc.

According to AI, Council Bluffs Police Department in Iowa was the only big police department back in 1930s, and it was big. Coos Bay didn't even exist yet under that name.

While indeed Coos Bay wasn't called that until 1944, the marking could have been a later addition

Shooting in the dark here (pin intended). But it’s possibly Coos Bay Police Dept. My reasoning is that they seem to be the only one of the CBPD’s that has a ‘police association’.
