I was riding with my friend when a part of my pants got caught in the chain of my bike then it started making a weird noise from the back wheel it all looks good so I can’t find the source of the sound

UPDATE.
I fixed the problem my chain was misplaced

Hey man. Great you got it fixed. Now keep your trousers in check...lol.
TopRepulsive4766@reddit
Have you checked to make sure the derailleur hasn't become mis-aligned? If part of your trousers got caught in the chain and reached the derailleur, it might have messed things up a bit.
And they make these straps especially for bicyclists that go around the lower calf area of your legs near the ankle to keep baggy pants from getting in the works.

Can you describe the noise you get? And does the noise change any when you move the shifter?
Powerful_Dot5142@reddit (OP)

Re-seat the rear wheel.
Powerful_Dot5142@reddit (OP)
How can i do that
chrispark70@reddit
Turn the bike upside down, release the QR or loosen the nuts. Let the wheel re-seat in the dropouts and then re-tighten the nuts or QR.
It is not necessarily what is wrong, but it is the first and easiest thing to do.
Powerful_Dot5142@reddit (OP)
Will something happen if i ride it without fixing that? I rode earlier and idk if i should worry
chrispark70@reddit
If it is still making the noise, damage is quite possible.
Powerful_Dot5142@reddit (OP)
I didnt do anything yet I am just wondering if something may happen if I ride it with this because my friends dad can fix it but he lives like 20 minutes away

Dude you need to learn this is a very basic life skill and you need a few things
Youtube An adjustable wrench Common sense Muscle
If you possess these things you have a very good chance of doing it, fucking it up,becoming determined, learning, fucking it up again, getting angry, then finally succeeding. It's easy.
Powerful_Dot5142@reddit (OP)
I would like to try but he is worried I will just make it worse
Powerful_Dot5142@reddit (OP)
Ik but I am only 16 and my dad said he won’t let me do it myself
