I always like how Muzzy is fondly remembered on Reddit. But you are the first person I have seen who also liked Muzzy’s fondness for eating parking meters.
How that little girl got "je suis la jeune fille" from Muzzy's garbled attempt at communication had my 10 year old Skepticism Alarm screaming for attention.
I have no idea. I never knew anyone who had it, but I've had multiple people my age who I've told I speak French and said, "Je Suis La Jeune Fille!" to and they've immediately said "Muzzy!" and known that I don't actually speak French
There were a few years where my mom bought us a bunch of tapes to listen to in the car to learn Spanish. We had the Spanish Muzzy videos for a while before my mom let someone borrow them and never got them back. They also came with the original English version, which my mom used for a while when she taught ESL at our church
