Advice on which bike to buy

M (50) and F (50) active and fit, looking for ebikes to ride around the neighborhood and forest preserves. We will use it likely less than 10-20 times per year. Lighter/portable and under $1K a big plus. any good options out there? Friends have an Aventon but it is massive, heavy and hard to store and transport.

Check out the isinwheel H7 Pro. It’s technically an electric scooter with a seat, but it rides more like a comfy mini-moped.This is a lifesaver for your joints. It’s got a 1200W motor that’s super smooth, and the low center of gravity makes it way more stable and easier to mount than those tall ebikes. It’s way more compact than an Aventon, so storing it in the garage or even a shed is a breeze. Plus, it’s under your $1k budget.

I think you might want to check out this model—it offers great value for the price.

If you already have bikes and are handy consider converting them to E-Bikes.

We have nice Trek bikes, I will look into this option.
Additional_Delay_793@reddit
With conversion you will have a nice lightweight E-Bike. I have easily transported two converted bikes with batteries removed with a regular good quality bike rack. Often to go riding in the local forest preserves.
Additional_Delay_793@reddit
Treks would work fine. Lots of you tube videos to show you how to do it. I have converted three bikes so far. torque sensor mid drives are superior to cadence sensor . You will ride more often because it's so much more fun. You mentioned forest preserves. Are you in the Chicago area? Feel free to DM me if you have any questions.

1) Ride1up Roadster 2) Veloctric Tempo 3) Ride1up Portola

Need more info. But Velotric, Lectric or Aventon.
hroaks@reddit
Highly recommend velotric. You might be able to snag one under 1000 on upway or facebook marketplace
furlintdust@reddit
I love my Velotric Tempo. It’s only 39lbs and looks like a regular bike. It’s $1500, but I think it’s worth it to have local dealer support.
