My parents' first PC was the exact same Gateway2000, though I think ours had a Pentium 1. We usually had it stacked unless I had to open the top to tinker inside it, at least after I finally got over my fear of breaking the "warranty void" tape.
I tried tipping it up on end like a tower once because I thought it would look cool... it didn't look cool.

You can use pci to pcie adapter and make a insane bottleneck with a more modern GPU. Fun stuff 😀😊
