How does RGB GPU backplate stick to vertical video card?

I assume they use double sided tape? if so, is there double sided tape strong enough to hold the back plate? if not, what material are those GPU back plate, especially the mirror ones? can you drill a small screw hole on it?

Why are you wasting money on a backplate for a vertical GPU?
They are intended for horizontal so there's actually something interesting to look at as most side and back designs are boring
