I have been considering buying a UPS for my pc but I dont know what wattage I need to buy. Any help is appreciated!
CPU: Ryzen 9 9950x3d
GPU: RTX 5090
PSU: 1500 watts

I would recommend getting something around the 2000w mark. Even though the components do not max out the full 1500 watt, but neither are 1500w rated UPSes actually usable at max load. So go with 2000w, check reviews and forums as well.

for a 9950x3d + 5090 build, real-world draw under full load is around 700-900W, not the full PSU rating. you want pure sine wave (modern PSUs with active PFC can be unstable on simulated sine wave) and roughly 1500VA / 1000W output for a few minutes of runtime to shut down cleanly.
CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD is the standard pick at \~$200 — line-interactive, AVR, sine wave, plays nice with modern PSUs. APC Back-UPS Pro 1500 is the equivalent at slightly higher cost. for longer runtime jump to a 2200VA model (CyberPower CP2200), but for "graceful shutdown" 1500 is plenty.
