A little while ago, we got a small series of questions from at least one person from cultures with very conservative views regarding women, asking how those views would resonate with Americans. I wonder if this is another one from that angle?

What an odd question.
What does "okay" mean here? It'd be strange for a bra to be worn during bathing (absent some medical necessity), but there's no situation you can point out where it would be either immoral or illegal.

I personally wear one when I’m wearing “real clothes,” not pajamas. I do that when I’m expecting to leave the house, or when I’m expecting someone to come over.
Some people never wear bras at home, which is fine. I’m not gonna stop them.
Similarly, some people wear a bra all the time at home. I had to do that between my double mastectomy and my reconstruction. I’m sure it looked a little silly to see someone in a sports bra and pajamas, but whatever. It’s what I had to do to heal up.

What a strange question. Do you mean just a bra, but no shirt? Or just having a bra underneath a shirt? You can wear whatever you want, including nothing when you’re at home.

It's been my experience that large breasted women wear bras all the time. I had one long term GF that wore a bra to sleep often and sometimes prance about the house in bra only. she was a 36 C that swelled to 38 D depending on diet. Healthy girl.

Why would you not be allowed to wear underwear in your own home? Many people may choose to not wear a bra at home, but I don't know anyone who is required to be braless.
